Senior Infrastructure Engineer

<p><strong>Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Central London</strong></p><p><strong>£550 - £600 p/d (outside IR35)</strong></p><p><strong>3 month initial term</strong></p><p></p><p>A leading construction engineering business is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. They are a well-established business about to enter a period of considerable operational change, including merger and acquisition activity, making it an exciting time to join and be part of their journey.</p><p></p><p>Reporting into the Infrastructure Manager, you will oversee core infrastructure and networking. You'll work closely with managed service providers to ensure seamless operations and business continuity, whilst taking a lead on regular site set-ups and supporting infrastructure integration across newly acquired entities.</p><p></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p> Lead and manage office and site networks, aligning with business strategy</p><p> Act as an escalation point for the Service Desk Team</p><p> Set up and configure Local Area Networks (LANs), including hardware deployment and support</p><p> Coordinate with third-party MSPs for network and infrastructure management</p><p> Manage firewall operations and connectivity with ISPs</p><p> Oversee network IP addressing and VPN setups</p><p> Support business continuity through proactive incident management</p><p> Rapid deployment of site connectivity solutions, including 4G routers</p><p> Monitor network health and performance, ensuring high availability and resilience</p><p> Maintain inventory and configuration records for infrastructure and software</p><p> Collaborate with the Security Operations Center on network security</p><p> Support software licensing and upgrades</p><p> Support data privacy and security audits</p><p> Maintain server rooms and ensure operational efficiency</p><p> Develop and implement business processes and documentation</p><p> Support M&A activity, including infrastructure due diligence, integration planning and execution</p><p> Lead tenant-to-tenant migrations (e.g., Microsoft 365/Azure), ensuring minimal disruption to business operations</p><p> Assist with onboarding newly acquired businesses, including network integration, identity consolidation and systems alignment</p><p></p><p>Requirements:</p><p> Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure management</p><p> Strong in network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.); ideally candidates must hold a CCNA/CCNP etc.</p><p> Experience with FortiGate Firewalls and Windows Operating Systems</p><p> Familiarity with WAN, LAN, VPN and wireless networks</p><p> Proven experience supporting M&A activities, including tenant-to-tenant migrations and infrastructure integration</p><p> Experience with Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure AD/Entra ID and hybrid environments is highly desirable</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?RINZcmghf3epsmqbJxGWfRJQCdl3BHCMx" width="0" height="0" />
