<p><strong>Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer - 12 Month FTC</strong></p><p><strong>Glasgow - Hybrid - Competitive salary </strong></p><p>VIQU is working with a leading professional services organisation seeking an experienced Infrastructure / Server Engineer to support a Microsoft-focused hybrid environment (on-prem & cloud). This is a hands-on role involving BAU support, automation, and infrastructure projects.</p><p><strong>What You'll Be Doing as Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer: </strong></p><ul><li>Supporting and maintaining critical Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory and Windows Server estates</li><li>Managing hybrid environments that integrate on-prem systems with Azure and Microsoft 365</li><li>Working with identity and access technologies such as ADFS, SSO, and Entra ID</li><li>Maintaining and improving virtualised environments (VMware) and enterprise storage platforms (e.g. Dell EMC, HPE, vSAN)</li><li>Writing and enhancing scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency</li><li>Contributing to resilient infrastructure design, including clustering and high-availability solutions</li><li>Following established IT service management practices (incident, change, and problem management)</li><li>Partnering with internal teams to deliver upgrades, enhancements, and infrastructure projects</li></ul><p><strong>What We're Looking For as Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer: </strong></p><ul><li>Strong Microsoft infrastructure experience (Windows Server , AD)</li><li>Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365</li><li>Knowledge of Entra ID and modern identity</li><li>VMware or similar virtualisation experience</li><li>Scripting skills (PowerShell or equivalent)</li><li>Solid networking fundamentals</li><li>Experience in ITIL or structured environments</li></ul><p>Apply today to speak with VIQU in confidence or contact Fay Toomey via the VIQU website.
