Senior Infrastructure Engineer

<p>We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (NetDevOps) for our public sector client based in Newcastle on an initial 11-month contract paying up to £650 per day inside IR35.</p><p></p><p>This role offers hybrid working with approximately 3 days per week on-site attendance expected.</p><p></p><p></p><p>You may work from Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Blackpool.</p><p></p><p>The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be a hands-on engineer with a genuine NetDevOps mindset. You will be expected to contribute to design and delivery work quickly, bringing real engineering depth across enterprise networking, firewall technologies, data centre architecture and automation.</p><p></p><p>You will need proven experience working with the following:</p><p></p><ul><li>Designing and implementing complex enterprise network infrastructure across data centre, hybrid and cloud environments</li><li>OSPF and BGP environments, with strong understanding of enterprise and cloud network patterns</li><li>Palo Alto firewalls across data centre and cloud, including Zero Trust and secure network design principles</li><li>Data centre technologies including VXLAN, EVPN, VRF segmentation and multi-site fabrics, with experience of vendors such as Arista</li><li>Load balancing technologies including F5 BIG-IP (LTM, APM, ASM)</li><li>Network automation using Python, Ansible or similar tooling, with an Infrastructure as Code mindset</li><li>CI/CD exposure including GitLab and version control practices applied to network engineering</li><li>Hybrid cloud connectivity across at least one major cloud provider such as Azure, AWS or OCI</li></ul><p></p><p>Experience with SD-WAN, Aruba Central or ClearPass, or modernising legacy network environments would be beneficial.</p><p></p><p>You will need to hold or be able to pass SC clearance for this role.</p><p></p><p>Interested?
