Senior Infrastructure Engineer

<p><strong>(Contract) - Outside IR35<br></strong><strong>Contract Length:</strong> 6 months<br><strong>Location:</strong> Hybrid or Remote<br><strong>Closing Date:</strong> 29 May 2026<br><strong><br></strong><strong>Overview</strong></p> <p>We are supporting Nando's on a key infrastructure transformation programme focused on isolating legacy data centre environments and transitioning to modern, cloud-managed platforms.</p> <p>This role will be instrumental in identifying and removing dependencies on on-premise services, reconfiguring endpoints, and ensuring a smooth transition to modern identity and device management solutions.<br></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Analyse and remove application dependencies on legacy on-prem services (e.g. Active Directory, file shares, legacy authentication, VPN reliance)</li> <li>Support the isolation of Data Centre and Core Server environments</li> <li>Reconfigure endpoints (laptops, desktops, servers, and mobile devices) via MDM platforms such as Intune</li> <li>Remove or remediate legacy configurations including GPOs, login scripts, certificates, VPN profiles, and authentication methods</li> <li>Execute configuration changes using PowerShell, MDM, and automation tooling</li> <li>Uninstall legacy applications and validate compatibility with target environments</li> <li>Identify and resolve undocumented or hidden dependencies ahead of service decommissioning</li> <li>Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to validate decommissioning readiness</li> <li>Ensure endpoints and services are successfully transitioned to cloud-managed environments and modern identity providers<br> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Core Skills (Priority Order)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Okta (exposure to OAG desirable)</li> <li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Intune and Azure</li> <li>Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience</li> <li>Good understanding of networking fundamentals</li> <li>Working knowledge of SQL<br> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience Required</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience delivering infrastructure transformation or migration programmes</li> <li>Strong background in modern endpoint management and cloud identity integration</li> <li>Experience removing legacy enterprise dependencies and supporting decommissioning activities</li> <li>Ability to work independently within a contract environment<br> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Summary</strong></p> <p>This is an opportunity to contribute to a significant modernisation initiative at Nando's, working across legacy decommissioning and cloud adoption.
