Workshop Engineer (Machinist)

The Role Permanent Full Time Job Purpose / Summary Knowlton and Newman, part of the Rubix Group, provide 24/7 engineering services.<br><br>Make sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.<br><br>We repair, overhaul, install, and maintain pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, hydraulic equipment and cover a wide range of industrial equipment for customers across multiple sectors Key Responsibilities Ensure workflow procedures are followed.<br><br>Operate various machines tools to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies.<br><br>Record all data necessary to produce and expected service and/or design results including sizes and illustrations.<br><br>Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, and conventional milling and lathe work, using various engine lathes (e.g., horizontal and vertical mills and horizontal boring lathes).<br><br>Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment.<br><br>Perform various metalizing (metal spraying) techniques as needed.<br><br>Understand materials and applications as required.<br><br>Set up and perform tool-post grinding operations (e.g., precision surface facing), broaching procedures, and Babbitt bearing work.<br><br>Perform various welding operations, including setup and use of MIG, TIG, torch and stick welders.<br><br>Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work and/or to observe safety precautions.<br><br>Use various hand-held and stationary power and non-power tools, including but not limited to band saw, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc.<br><br>Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues. xwzovoh <br><br>Promote a culture of working safely as routine.
