This is a hybrid position, offering 2 days from home after probation.</p><p>The Opportunity:As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be a vital part of the team, working on exciting projects and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of IT environments.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Designing, implementing, and maintaining server, network, and storage solutions for clients.</li><li>Providing 3rd line support, resolving complex technical issues efficiently.</li><li>Managing cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure.</li><li>Monitoring and maintaining infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.</li><li>Leading infrastructure migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime.</li><li>Building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.</li><li>Documenting technical processes and configurations for clarity and compliance.</li><li>Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.</li></ul><p>About You</p><p>We're seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset, and a deep understanding of enterprise networking. You'll be comfortable operating in complex environments, troubleshooting critical issues, and working closely with clients and stakeholders.</p><p>To be successful in this role, you should have:</p><ul><li>Proven experience in a Senior Infrastructure Engineer or similar role within complex IT environments.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and core infrastructure services.</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.</li><li>Deep expertise in networking, including design, configuration, and troubleshooting of:<ul><li>Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco ASA, or similar)</li><li>Routers and switches (Cisco preferred)</li><li>VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols, and network security principles</li></ul></li><li>Solid experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, including hybrid network integrations.</li><li>Experience implementing and supporting backup and disaster recovery solutions in enterprise environments.</li><li>Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues under pressure.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, VMware) are highly desirable.</li></ul><p>Senior Infrastructure Engineer | Leicester | Hybrid | £50,000-£60,000</p><p>Oscar Associates (UK) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. xwzovoh </p><p>To understand more about what we do with your data please review our privacy policy in the privacy section of the Oscar website.</p>
