<p>Job Description</p><br>Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly.<br><p>Senior Civil Design Engineer</p><p>Location: Bridgend (Hybrid Working)Salary: Up to £54,000 + car allowance + package</p><p>We are working with a leading UK infrastructure delivery organisation to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer (Design) for their expanding in-house engineering consultancy, based in Bridgend.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to join a technically driven design team delivering complex UK infrastructure projects across highways, drainage, heavy industrial, power and design & build sectors. You’ll benefit from real technical ownership, close collaboration with delivery teams, and genuine scope to influence design outcomes.</p><p>The Role</p><p>Reporting to a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical delivery and management of either several smaller schemes or a larger project, supporting works from concept through to construction.</p><p>Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Delivering civil design solutions to agreed time, cost and quality targets</li><li>Planning, coordinating and managing tasks, resources and technical outputs</li><li>Producing high-quality design calculations, drawings and technical reports in line with Eurocodes and UK industry standards</li><li>Managing project budgets with an understanding of commercial frameworks</li><li>Mentoring and providing technical support to Engineers, Graduates and Technicians</li><li>Coordinating multi-disciplinary design inputs to ensure robust and buildable solutions</li><li>Working collaboratively with clients, contractors and the wider supply chain</li><li>Attending site as required to support design development and construction delivery</li></ul><p>About You</p><p>To be considered, you will have:</p><ul><li>A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification)</li><li>Strong technical civil design experience on UK infrastructure projects</li><li>Good working knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards</li><li>Experience mentoring or technically guiding junior engineers</li><li>Confidence working closely with contractors and delivery teams</li><li>A UK/EEC driving licence</li><li>Flexibility to travel to other UK offices, project sites or client locations when required</li><li>Chartered status (or working towards chartership) is desirable, but not essential. xwzovoh </li></ul><p>Why Apply?</p><ul><li>Join a contractor-backed in-house design environment with genuine influence over buildable solutions</li><li>Exposure to major, high-profile infrastructure projects</li><li>Clear opportunities for progression as the design function continues to grow</li><li>Flexible, hybrid working arrangements</li><li>Supportive culture focused on technical excellence and professional development</li></ul><p>Please apply via the link or for more information contact:Krystina Hartry MCIOB - Senior Consultant, Construction & Property</p>
