<p>Job Description</p><br>Like the look of this opportunity Make sure to apply fast, as a high volume of applications is expected Scroll down to read the complete job description.<br><p>Senior Engineer - Infrastructure & Drainage</p><p>Location: Bridgend (Hybrid Working)Salary: Up to £53,000 + car allowance + package</p><p>We are working with a leading UK infrastructure and construction organisation to recruit a Senior Engineer - Infrastructure & Drainage for their established design team based in Bridgend.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced drainage and infrastructure engineer to deliver high-quality, sustainable design solutions across public and private sector projects. Working within a contractor-backed design environment, you will collaborate closely with construction teams, influence buildability decisions and see your designs delivered on major infrastructure schemes, alongside delivering standalone consultancy commissions for clients.</p><p>The Role</p><p>Reporting to a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical and commercial delivery of drainage, SuDS and civil infrastructure design projects from concept through to construction.</p><p>Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Producing drainage, SuDS and infrastructure designs, including detailed below-ground networks and strategies for buildings, highways and public realm schemes</li><li>Planning, delivering and managing work packages, contributing to programming, pricing, proposals and cost estimates</li><li>Providing technical assurance through the checking and authorisation of designs, drawings, calculations and reports</li><li>Delivering standalone consultancy commissions, working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders</li><li>Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental requirements and CDM Designer’s Duties, embedding safe and sustainable design</li><li>Mentoring and supporting graduate engineers and technicians</li><li>Using and developing digital tools and BIM workflows, including Civil 3D, MicroDrainage and InfoWorks</li><li>Supporting construction phases, providing design assurance and buildability input</li></ul><p>About You</p><p>You will be a technically strong infrastructure and drainage engineer with UK experience, ideally offering:</p><ul><li>A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)</li><li>Chartered Engineer (ICE) status or actively working towards chartership</li><li>Strong experience in drainage and SuDS design, including hydraulic modelling and compliance with national and local guidance</li><li>Experience xwzovoh in civil infrastructure design, including site-wide drainage and public realm works</li><li>Experience preparing SuDS strategies and supporting planning applications</li><li>Experience submitting drainage approvals, including Section 104, 38 and 106</li><li>Working knowledge of MicroDrainage, InfoWorks, Civil 3D and BIM workflows</li><li>Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach</li></ul><p>Why Apply?</p><ul><li>Senior role within a well-established infrastructure and drainage team</li><li>Opportunity to work on major infrastructure schemes and consultancy projects</li><li>Real influence over buildability, sustainability and design quality</li><li>Flexible, hybrid working environment</li><li>Strong focus on professional development and long-term career progression</li></ul>
