<p>Job Description</p><br>If you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity, or are considering applying, then please read the following job information.<br><p>Reed Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a fast growing Engineering and Manufacturing company</p><p>Section Maintenance Engineer – Heavy Engineering </p><p>We are looking for a Section Maintenance Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production plant within a heavy industrial steelmaking environment. You will be responsible for maintaining key assets, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, safety-critical operation.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Deliver planned preventative maintenance and respond effectively to breakdowns.</li><li>Fault-find and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.</li><li>Take ownership of assigned plant and equipment, including cranes and heavy machinery.</li><li>Lead improvement activities to enhance reliability, safety, and performance.</li><li>Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with site safety standards.</li><li>Record work and manage spares using a CMMS (e.g. SAP).</li><li>Ensure all work complies with LOLER, PUWER, and site safety procedures.</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>NVQ/ C&G/HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.</li><li>Experience in steel, heavy engineering or other other manufacturing such as Aerospace, Nuclear, Defence, Oil & Gas, Automotive etc </li><li>Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Safety-focused approach with good communication skills.</li><li>18th Edition would be advantageous </li></ul><p>What We Offer</p><ul><li>Stable, long-term role in a major industrial operation.</li><li>Opportunities for progression into senior or supervisory engineering roles. xwzovoh </li><li>Competitive salary and benefits package.</li></ul>
