<p></p><p>MET Technician</p><p></p><p>Location: Enfield</p><p>Pay Rate: £20 - £22 per hour (DOE)</p><p>Bonus: £16 per hour on all efficiency hours (hours produced above hours worked)</p><p>Uncapped earning potential</p><p>Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00</p><p>Type: Full-time, Permanent</p><p></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p></p><p>We are a well-established Accident Repair Centre in Enfield looking to recruit an experienced MET Technician (Strip & Fit) to join our workshop team.</p><p></p><p>This is a bodyshop-based role, focused on the strip and refit of vehicles following accident damage. There is also some involvement in mechanical work such as suspension and steering, however this is not a full mechanical/servicing position.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Strip and refit vehicle components following accident damage</li><li>Remove and refit:</li><li>Doors, bumpers, trims, mirrors, lights, panels and interior components</li><li>Carry out mechanical work where required, including:</li><li>Suspension, steering, subframes, axles and associated components</li><li>Assist with braking and chassis-related work (non-engine)</li><li>Work closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians to ensure smooth workflow</li><li>Align and refit components in line with manufacturer standards</li><li>Identify and report any additional damage during strip-down</li><li>Complete job cards and repair documentation accurately</li><li>Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Candidate Requirements</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Proven experience as an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician / Bodyshop Fitter</li><li>Strong experience working within an accident repair environment</li><li>Confident with full vehicle strip and refit</li><li>Good understanding of suspension and steering systems</li><li>Mechanical knowledge beneficial (non-engine work)</li><li>Own tools required</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>High attention to detail and pride in work</li><li>Relevant qualifications or time-served experience preferred</li><li>Full UK driving licence preferred</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>What's on Offer</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>£20 - £22 per hour, depending on experience</li><li>Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week - no weekends</li><li>Stable, long-term opportunity with consistent workload</li><li>Well-equipped, professional accident repair workshop</li><li>Supportive and experienced team</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>About Us</strong></p><p></p><p>Streamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex, operating across the UK.
