<ol><li><strong>Calibration Engineer</strong></li></ol>BirminghamUp to £20 per hour (DOE)39 hours per week (Early finish Fridays)PermanentWe are currently looking to expand our Calibration / Metrology team and are seeking an experienced Calibration Engineer to join a well-established and highly regarded precision engineering environment in Birmingham.This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and working to the highest standards within dimensional calibration.<strong>The Role</strong>As a Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out precise dimensional measurements and calibrations using a range of high-accuracy equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring all instruments meet required standards and specifications.You will be working with equipment capable of measuring to 0.001 mm (1 micron) and below, including:<ul><li>Slip Gauges (Block Gauges)</li><li>Micrometers</li><li>Floating Carriage Micrometers (FCM)</li><li>Universal Length Measuring (ULM) instruments</li></ul><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Perform calibration and measurement of precision instruments</li><li>Maintain accurate records in line with quality standards</li><li>Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with calibration procedures</li><li>Identify and report any inconsistencies or non-conformances</li><li>Support continuous improvement within the calibration process</li></ul><strong>What We're Looking For</strong><ul><li>Proven experience in dimensional calibration or precision measurement</li><li>Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work</li><li>Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to work to tight tolerances</li><li>Experience with gear and spline calibration, manufacturing, or design <em>(desirable)</em></li><li>Experience working within a UKAS-accredited laboratory <em>(desirable)</em></li></ul> If you're looking to take the next step in your career within a high-precision environment, we'd love to hear from you.<img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?DLlfkpzUkdDL1RxwVtDT60Xt%2f%2fWQGAF0h" width="0" height="0" />
