Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client is a well-established and growing engineering company seeking to appoint a Supplier Quality Engineer as part of continued business expansion.<br><br>Find out more about the daily tasks, overall responsibilities, and required experience for this opportunity by scrolling down now.<br><br>The role will be based at their HQ in CO Down, and offers the opportunity for progression withing the company.<br><br>The successful candidate will work closely with key suppliers, evaluating product quality and overall delivery performance against established standards across major projects.<br><br>You will be responsible for ensuring all materials and equipment sourced from approved suppliers are delivered on time and meet the required quality specifications.<br><br>Key Responsibilities Evaluate suppliers through audits and performance assessments, monitoring supplier quality metrics.<br><br>Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.<br><br>Ensure supplier compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.<br><br>Monitor supplier performance and response times to support production continuity and on-time delivery.<br><br>Develop and maintain supplier quality documentation and procedures.<br><br>Carry out inspections and testing to verify quality standards and identify defects where necessary.<br><br>Implement supplier approval programmes and conduct supplier audits.<br><br>Prepare reports detailing quality performance and audit outcomes.<br><br>Travel to supplier sites as required.<br><br>Criteria Previous experience in Supplier Quality or a similar quality control role.<br><br>Willingness to travel for supplier visits approximately once per month.<br><br>Familiarity with quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001.<br><br>Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing methods.<br><br>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.<br><br>Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple suppliers effectively.<br><br>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.<br><br>Package Salary is in the region of £38,000£44,000, depending on experience.<br><br>The role also offers an attractive benefits package including pension and life assurance.<br><br>For further information and a confidential discussion please email your CV through the link.<br><br>By applying for this role you are consenting to Energis Recruitment holding your details for a period of 12 months to be considered for other roles. xwzovoh <br><br>As a candidate you have the right to consent or object to this.<br><br>Skills: quality Engineer ISO9001 supplier quality Benefits: Pension Fund Group Life Assurance Parking<br>TPBN1_NI
