<p>Job Description</p><br>Do you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role Find out below.<br><p>Software Engineer, Developer, Backend – Java – Identity - IAM</p><p>Contract – Until End of December 2026 (Renewable)</p><p>Rate: £500 per day – Inside IR35</p><p>Location:Essex based offices (between Brentwood and Basildon) 4 days a week</p><p>The banking and finance arm of one of the world’s leading manufacturing companies and a household name is seeking a software engineer, software developer with Backend, Back End and Identity Access Management (IAM) expertise.</p><p>The Backend Software Engineer will join the Identity Management Services team, (IAM) focusing on the core platform work that powers identity infrastructure.</p><p>Main Tasks & Responsibilities:</p><p>> Design and build high-scale backend services</p><p>> Serve as a technical lead to upskill the team in modern, industry-leading application development. xwzovoh > Ensure the platform is secure and resilient</p><p>> Leverage expertise to elevate the team's technical standards and foster a culture of excellence in backend engineering.</p><p>Essential Skill and Experience:</p><p># 8+ years working with backend technologies including Java, Java Frameworks</p><p># Web development - DevOps practices (CI/CD, version control)</p><p># Security and identity management (IAM)</p><p># Monitoring and logging</p><p># Relational databases</p><p># Server-Side technologies</p><p># Agile</p><p>Desirable (not essential) Skills & Experience:</p><p>~Networking (Subnets, Firewall, Load balancing, VPN configurations)</p><p>~ Problem-Solving and debugging</p><p>~ Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP)</p>
