This will involve working with young people who have complex mental health needs and psychological needs. </p><br><p>As an experienced Social Worker, you will bring your knowledge of social policy and expertise in social work practice ensuring and maintaining a quality social work service to service users and their families.</p><br><p>You will also be responsible for the management and supervision of social work staff and take a lead in developing and managing the social work department. </p><br><p><strong>As a Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will be:</strong></p><br><ul><li><br></li> <li>Contributing towards completion of service users CPA documents providing comprehensive assessment reports when required.<br></li> <li>When it is part of an agreed care plan, to complete focussed work with individual young people using a range of interventions.<br></li> <li>Maintaining contact with young people’s families, carers and/or significant others offering support, information and where relevant to the care plan joint family and patient sessions which are enabling.<br></li> <li>Taking a leading role in promoting anti-discriminatory practice in a way that links the young person’s individual circumstances to the broader, social, political, legal and cultural context (with relevance to care plan).<br></li> <li>In conjunction with the responsible Social Services Department or integrated NHS assist in the assessment of suitable after care placement working across professional boundaries.<br></li> <li>Maintaining accurate and up to date records of their social work inputs to the care plan including Section 117 care planning and transfer summaries, which reflect the patient’s views.<br></li> <li>Maintaining accurate and up to date records of their social work inputs to the care plan including Section 117 care planning and transfer summaries, which reflect the patient’s views.<br></li> <li>Responsible for the day-to-day administration of annual leave and sickness within the social work department.<br></li></ul><br><strong>To be successful in this role you will:</strong><br><ul><li><br></li> <li>Be qualified Social Worker who holds registration with Social Work England <br></li> <li>Have minimum of 4 years post qualification experience<br></li> <li>Have experience working within a forensic or eating disorder setting<br></li></ul><br><br><p><strong>Where you will be working</strong> </p><br><p><strong>Address:</strong> Emerald Place,<strong> </strong>Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Surrey, RH6 0BN </p><br><p>Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Elysium Healthcare have worked in partnership to provide a new purpose-built Tier 4 Children and Young People Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) in Surrey. </p><br><p>Emerald Place Clinic is a 12-bed general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 up to the age of 18.
