Senior Social Worker

<ul><li><strong>Role:</strong> Senior Social Work Practitioner</li><li><strong>Service:</strong> Children & Families</li><li><strong>Reports to:</strong> Team Manager</li><li><strong>Level:</strong> Senior practitioner with leadership and supervisory responsibilities</li></ul><strong>Purpose of the Role</strong><ul><li>Handle <strong>complex social work cases</strong> involving children and families</li><li>Support the <strong>development and effectiveness of the service</strong></li><li>Provide <strong>guidance, supervision, and mentoring</strong> to other staff and students</li></ul><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Manage <strong>high-risk and complex cases</strong> (including child protection and court work)</li><li>Develop and implement <strong>child in need / child protection plans</strong></li><li>Prepare <strong>court reports</strong> and give evidence when required</li><li>Offer <strong>professional advice and consultation</strong> to colleagues</li><li>Supervise <strong>junior staff and students</strong></li><li>Contribute to <strong>team development, training, and service improvement</strong></li><li>Participate in <strong>recruitment, meetings, and organisational initiatives</strong></li><li>Ensure <strong>health & safety and communication systems</strong> are followed</li></ul><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong><ul><li>Recognised <strong>Social Work qualification</strong> (e.g. BA Social Work or equivalent)</li><li><strong>Professional registration</strong> (e.g. HCPC or equivalent body)</li><li>Experience in:</li><li>Children & families social work</li><li>Child protection and court work</li><li>Assessment and duty systems</li><li>Experience supervising or mentoring staff (desirable)</li></ul><p></p><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?cygZ%2f1WRJ1qNrjxy6KAO2mUXfLpCOj5cj" width="0" height="0" />
