<p>Senior Cloud / Platform Infrastructure Engineer</p><p><strong>Permanent | London (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)</strong></p><p><br><br>You can get further details about the nature of this opening, and what is expected from applicants, by reading the below.<br></p><p>We’re hiring a <strong>Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer</strong> to help design, build, and operate a highly available, Kubernetes‑based platform running real‑time, mission‑critical systems.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a <strong>hands‑on, senior‑level role</strong> for someone with a strong background across <strong>architecture, delivery, and build</strong>, who has worked closely with software engineers in <strong>small, high‑ownership teams</strong>. You’ll have real influence over how the platform is designed and evolved, not just how it’s operated.</p><p><br></p><p>If you enjoy owning complex systems end‑to‑end, care deeply about reliability and performance, and are comfortable making technical decisions that scale - this role will suit you.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What you’ll be doing</strong></p><ul><li>Designing, building, and owning AWS‑based infrastructure using <strong>Terraform and Kubernetes</strong></li><li>Leading the evolution of a <strong>Kubernetes‑first platform</strong> (EKS), including networking, ingress, scaling, and security</li><li>Building platform capabilities that enable engineers to ship safely and autonomously (CI/CD, observability, environments)</li><li>Debugging production systems across Kubernetes, cloud services, networking, and application layers</li><li>Improving reliability, visibility, and operational standards across a distributed system</li><li>Setting and enforcing best practices across infrastructure, delivery, and platform engineering</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></p><ul><li>Strong experience in <strong>cloud infrastructure / platform engineering</strong></li><li><strong>Deep Kubernetes experience</strong> in production environments (EKS, Helm, ingress, scaling strategies, hardening)</li><li>Proven ability to <strong>design and deliver systems</strong>, not just operate them</li><li>Comfortable working in <strong>small teams</strong> with high autonomy and accountability</li><li>Solid AWS background (VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, RDS)</li><li>Infrastructure‑as‑Code mindset (Terraform or similar)</li><li>Confident troubleshooting complex, distributed production systems</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Nice to have (not essential)</strong></p><ul><li>Experience building internal developer platforms or self‑service tooling</li><li>Exposure to Kafka, Postgres, Redis, or similar data infrastructure</li><li>Experience operating in security‑ or compliance‑sensitive environments</li><li>Background in high‑throughput, low‑latency, or real‑time systems</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Why this role</strong></p><ul><li>Genuine ownership of critical infrastructure</li><li>High technical bar, low bureaucracy</li><li>Real platform engineering, not ticket‑driven DevOps</li><li>Opportunity to influence architecture and long‑term technical direction</li><li>Work on systems where performance, reliability, and correctness matter</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If you’re a senior engineer who enjoys <strong>designing platforms, building them properly, and owning them in production</strong>, this is worth a conversation. xwzovoh </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Confidential applications welcomed.</strong></p>
