<ul><li><strong>Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS, microservices)</strong></li><li><strong>Up to £100,000 + performance related bonuses + benefits</strong></li><li><strong>Hybrid-Remote in London (City) or Manchester Central | 3 days onsite </strong></li></ul><p><br><br>Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.<br></p><p>We’re partnered with a global fintech infrastructure company operating at the core of financial services: the data control layer behind banks, asset managers, and trading institutions worldwide.</p><p><br></p><p>Following a major acquisition the business is entering a significant scale phase, doubling headcount and investing heavily in its cloud and platform engineering capability</p><p><br></p><p>This is high-scale, mission-critical infrastructure software, processing trillions in financial assets daily and ensuring the accuracy, reconciliation, and compliance of global financial data.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Mission of the role: </strong></p><ul><li>Deliver scalable, automated, and production-ready platforms built on AWS with Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, and GitOps at the core</li><li>6 months into the role, you will have led a successful migration or go-live, have delivered measurable improvements in scalability and efficiency, and been recognised as a trusted authority in microservices delivery</li><li>You will work in a wider Infrastructure / SRE / Cloud team of 15</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What you’ll be doing</strong></p><ul><li>Design, build, and operate microservices platforms on AWS using Kubernetes (EKS/AKS)</li><li>Automate provisioning, deployments, and pipelines with Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD tools</li><li>Lead technical delivery for customer projects, from discovery through to production go-live</li><li>Migrate and scale services into microservices-based platforms with resilience and observability in mind</li><li>Implement GitOps workflows (e.g. ArgoCD, Flux) to ensure automation and consistency</li><li>Produce high-quality documentation, runbooks, and reusable modules to accelerate delivery</li><li>Act as a senior technical authority, raising engineering standards and mentoring by example</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></p><p><strong>Essential skills and experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong AWS cloud engineering background with Terraform / IaC</li><li>Proven expertise in microservices design, deployment, and operations</li><li>Hands-on Kubernetes orchestration (EKS/AKS)</li><li>Linux administration and scripting (Bash / PowerShell; Python desirable)</li><li>GitOps experience with Argo CD or Flux</li><li>CI/CD pipeline development and automation</li><li>Strong communication xwzovoh and problem-solving skills</li><li>Track record of delivering service migrations and platform go-lives into production</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Nice to haves:</strong></p><ul><li>Helm chart authoring and advanced Argo CD usage</li><li>Event-driven microservices (Kafka)</li><li>PostgreSQL in cloud environments</li><li>Advanced CI/CD pipeline design</li><li>Experience with Internal Developer Platforms (e.g. Backstage)</li><li>Multi-cloud exposure and/or Python development for tooling</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Why join</strong></p><ul><li>Work on large-scale, regulated financial data infrastructure used globally</li><li>Major transformation phase following strategic acquisition and rapid scaling</li><li>Opportunity to shape platform architecture during a key growth period</li><li>Stable, PE-backed business with enterprise scale + modern cloud adoption</li></ul>
