<p><strong>Senior Control Systems Engineer - EV / Automotive - Oxfordshire (Hybrid)</strong></p><p><br><br>If you think you are the right match for the following opportunity, apply after reading the complete description.<br></p><p><strong>Role:</strong> Senior Control Systems Engineer</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Oxfordshire (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)</p><p><strong>Core onsite days:</strong> Tuesday & Thursday (flexible)</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>We are seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead the development of advanced control systems within an innovative engineering environment focused on high-performance electrified vehicles. This role will involve defining and delivering robust control strategies, guiding model-based development, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to integrate complex systems across vehicle platforms.</p><p><br></p><p>You will play a key role in shaping control architecture and driving the development of high-quality control algorithms within a technically challenging and rapidly evolving industry.</p><p><br></p><p>The role is hybrid with 2–3 days onsite per week in Oxfordshire, typically including Tuesday and Thursday, though flexibility is available depending on project needs.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead development of control systems and algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.</li><li>Develop system models and simulations to support vehicle control strategies.</li><li>Drive model-based development and validation activities.</li><li>Support integration of control systems into vehicle platforms.</li><li>Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated vehicle systems.</li><li>Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical direction.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Degree in Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.</li><li>Strong experience using MATLAB and Simulink for control system development.</li><li>Deep understanding of control theory, system modelling and dynamic systems.</li><li>Experience delivering complex control systems in an engineering environment.</li><li>Strong problem-solving ability and communication skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Experience within automotive or vehicle systems development.</li><li>Exposure to model-based design and embedded systems development.</li><li>Interest or passion for automotive engineering, performance vehicles or electrification. xwzovoh </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>If this is of interest please apply on LinkedIn or email </strong></p><br>Remote working/work at home options are available for this role.
