<strong>Land Agent / Rural Surveyor</strong><p><strong>Location:</strong> Oxford, UK<strong>Contract:</strong> Permanent Full-time (flexible working considered)</p><strong>Role Overview</strong><p>An established, highly regarded rural property consultancy is seeking a <strong>MRICS-qualified Rural Surveyor</strong> to join its Oxford office. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad and varied rural portfolio, providing professional advice to private, institutional, and corporate clients across the rural sector.</p><p>The position would suit a motivated surveyor who enjoys diversity in their workload and is keen to contribute to the continued growth of a well-established rural team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality professional advice across rural estate management, valuations, and land agency, while developing long-term client relationships.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li><p>Build, manage, and develop strong relationships with a diverse rural client base</p></li><li><p>Provide professional advice on rural property matters, including agricultural tenancies, land use, and estate management</p></li><li><p>Undertake accurate and well-reasoned valuations across a range of rural property assets</p></li><li><p>Advise clients on compulsory purchase, utilities, wayleaves, easements, and compensation matters</p></li><li><p>Support clients with rural planning, development, and diversification projects</p></li><li><p>Assist with the delivery of infrastructure and development-related schemes</p></li><li><p>Support the wider Land Agency team with farm agency and estate management work</p></li><li><p>Contribute to business development and the ongoing growth of the rural team</p></li></ul><strong>Candidate Requirements</strong><ul><li><p>MRICS qualified</p></li><li><p>CAAV qualification (desirable but not essential)</p></li><li><p>Typically 2-4 years' post-qualification experience in a rural surveying role</p></li><li><p>Strong technical knowledge of rural property and land-related matters</p></li><li><p>Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail</p></li><li><p>Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured reports</p></li><li><p>Strong negotiation, communication, and client-facing skills</p></li><li><p>Full UK driving licence</p></li></ul><p>Transferrable skills and broader professional experience are welcomed.
