<p> <strong>Senior AIT Technician (Contract)</strong> </p><p><br><br>Ready to make your application Please do read through the description at least once before clicking on Apply.<br></p><p>3 months | Inside IR35 | On-site</p><p><br></p><p> <strong>The Role</strong></p><p>A leading organisation in the space technology sector is seeking a Senior AIT Technician to support the assembly, integration and test of satellite systems and space-based hardware.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a hands-on interim role supporting active space programmes, working within a highly skilled engineering team to deliver critical build and test activities on time and to the highest quality standards.</p><p><br></p><p> <strong>Key Focus Areas</strong></p><ul><li>Mechanical and electrical assembly and integration of satellite sub-systems and flight hardware</li><li>Wiring, harnessing and connector terminations to IPC-A-610 / IPC-A-620 standards</li><li>Soldering and rework activities to IPC J-STD-001</li><li>Execution of functional testing and accurate recording of test data</li><li>Fault finding and troubleshooting at component and system level</li><li>Working from engineering drawings, schematics and build instructions</li><li>Maintaining cleanroom, ESD and quality compliance standards</li><li>Supporting efficient delivery across live programme schedules</li></ul><p><br></p><p> <strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>5–10+ years’ hands-on experience in AIT, electronics assembly or test roles within space, aerospace or defence</li><li>Strong practical experience in wiring, soldering, harnessing and integration</li><li>Solid understanding of IPC standards (A-610, A-620, J-STD-001)</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings xwzovoh and schematics</li><li>Experience with test equipment (DVMs, oscilloscopes, etc.)</li><li>Experience working in cleanroom / ESD-controlled environments</li></ul><p><br></p><p> <strong>The Details</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Contract Length:</strong> 3 months with strong potential for extension</li><li><strong>Location: </strong>Harwell, Oxfordshire - On-site role</li><li><strong>Rate:</strong> £300 per day (Inside IR35)</li><li><strong>Start:</strong> ASAP</li><li><strong>Clearance: </strong>BPSS required before start</li></ul>
