<p>Job Description</p><br>If the following job requirements and experience match your skills, please ensure you apply promptly.<br><p>SEN Teaching Assistant – Witham</p><p>12-Week Temp to Perm | 32.5 Hours per Week</p><p>We’re supporting a specialist SEN provision in Witham seeking a passionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. You’ll be working with pupils aged 4–19 who have autism, complex learning difficulties, and are often pre-vocal or early communicators. Many pupils require highly individualised support and may present challenging behaviours. </p><p>The Setting</p><p>This highly specialised environment offers:</p><ul><li>Individualised, structured curriculums tailored to each pupil’s needs. </li><li>Evidence-based approaches including ABA, SALT, OT, and specialist teaching methods. </li><li>A supportive, autism-specialist setting designed to help pupils develop communication, self-regulation, and life skills, promoting independence.</li></ul><p>The Role</p><p>As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:</p><ul><li>Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.</li><li>Implement personalised learning and behavioural plans.</li><li>Encourage communication development and emotional regulation.</li><li>Assist with life-skills learning and promote independence.</li><li>Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to ensure consistent, effective support.</li></ul><p>What We’re Looking For</p><ul><li>Experience supporting children or young people with autism or complex SEN (desirable).</li><li>Confidence managing challenging behaviour.</li><li>Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.</li><li>A commitment to helping pupils achieve happiness, independence, and respect—the core values of the provision.</li></ul><p>Contract Details</p><ul><li>12-week temp-to-perm arrangement</li><li>32.5 hours per week</li><li>Excellent opportunity to progress into a permanent role within a highly specialist setting. xwzovoh </li></ul><p>If interested, please reply with a copy of your most up to date CV and your availability for a call to discuss.</p>
