About the role The role holder delivers defined revenue, product volume and quality targets through the acquisition, up-sell and retention of UK SME customers. Sales opportunities are initiated by either an outbound dialler call, inbound call from a customer or outbound call as part of a specific campaign and in accordance with business requirements. The role holder will answer and respond to customer enquiries efficiently, effectively, and appropriately in accordance with defined processes and procedures.<br><br>Scroll down to find an indepth overview of this job, and what is expected of candidates Make an application by clicking on the Apply button.<br>What you will be doing Work with a defined account base of small SME customers, who typically have single sites and relatively simple order needs.<br>Ensure an understanding of BTs products and services to be able to effectively retain, acquire and upsell customers and ensure that the customers needs are being appropriately met.<br>To drive outbound calls to retain & grow existing customers & also acquire new customers in 10-100 customer segment.<br>Typically sell BT & EEs standard products across mobile, connectivity, and IP voice. May sell products across multiple towers to the same customer if required to meet their needs.<br>Develop successful, sustainable, and profitable relationships within the defined account base. Use strong communication and influencing skills to build relationships with key customer contacts and decision makers.<br>Following BT sales methodology and procedures to retain, develop and grow business such as; effective questioning to landscape accounts.<br>Thrive in a target driven, customer facing environment in order to achieve targets and KPIs. Targets may include; customer contact activity, product sales volumes, pipeline health and SOV/ revenue growth.<br>Keep sales tools and systems up to date and well organized with accurate customer information, to support effective decision making and to comply with GDPR.<br>Identify both new business opportunities and growth opportunities within the account base.<br>Influence decision makers to make timely decisions that help us achieve the business outcomes.<br>What you'll need to succeed Essential<br>Confident and effective communicator able to listen, influence, guide and convey messages articulately both written and verbally.<br>Comfortable using IT systems, databases and software packages previous experience with data bases, data savvy, emails and UC such as Teams.<br>Customer service skills - awareness of how to approach and deal with customers wants and needs, setting expectations and providing solutions.<br>Adaptable and willing to learn - able to take guidance, constructive feedback and follow processes taught during training, flexible to try new methods when guided to do so<br>Experience in a sales environment.<br>Desirable<br>Track record of achieving / exceeding targets motivated and driven by targets, able to focus on outcomes and organise workload to maximise these.<br>Sales experience is advantageous although not essential, being willing to learn, driven and ambitious goes a long way.<br>Benefits Tailored benefits make a real difference.
