<p>Job Description</p><br>Increase your chances of reaching the interview stage by reading the complete job description and applying promptly.<br><p>Quality Engineer</p><p>Rugby</p><p>£35,000 – £45,000</p><p>Mon–Thu 7:30am–4:00pm | Fri 7:30am–1:30pm</p><p>We are working with a well-established engineering organisation within the power and industrial sector who are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join their workshop operation in Rugby.</p><p>This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are maintained across projects and manufacturing processes.</p><p>The Role</p><p>As Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring products, components and documentation meet required standards while supporting continuous improvement across the workshop.</p><p>Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Carrying out component and product inspections to specification</li><li>Supporting APQP, NPI and FMEA processes</li><li>Producing First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102)</li><li>Developing and maintaining Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation</li><li>Investigating non-conformances and conducting root cause analysis (8D, A3, 5 Whys)</li><li>Supporting internal, external and customer audits</li><li>Monitoring and reporting quality metrics and performance</li><li>Working closely with production teams to embed quality throughout the manufacturing process</li><li>Conducting supplier visits and audits where required</li></ul><p>The Candidate</p><p>We are looking for a Quality Engineer with experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.</p><p>You will ideally have:</p><ul><li>An electrical or mechanical engineering background</li><li>Previous experience working in a production / workshop environment</li><li>Experience using mechanical measuring equipment</li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T</li><li>Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards</li><li>Experience investigating quality issues using structured problem-solving methods</li><li>Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement</li></ul><p>What’s on Offer</p><ul><li>£35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience</li><li>Early finish every Friday</li><li>Stable role within a well-established engineering business</li><li>Opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and project quality</li></ul><p>Security Clearance Requirement</p><p>Due to the sensitive nature of our client’s work, this role will require Security Check (SC) clearance and may involve additional vetting. xwzovoh Our client will support the clearance process; however, only candidates who are eligible for SC clearance can be considered, which normally requires applicants to be UK nationals.</p>
