<strong>Role: Quality Engineer </strong><strong>Salary: Up to £40,000 </strong><strong>Location: Keighley </strong><strong>The Opportunity:</strong>We are looking for a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join a well-established engineering business at their Keighley site. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that products, processes, and systems consistently meet the highest quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to work across multiple functions - from suppliers and customers to manufacturing and engineering teams - helping to embed a strong Right First Time culture.In this role, you'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support audit readiness, and help drive operational excellence. You'll be part of a collaborative team, enjoy long-term stability, and have genuine opportunities to develop your skills and make a real impact on product quality and customer satisfaction.<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>Ensure supplied and internally manufactured products comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and statutory requirements</li><li>Support and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and contribute to the development of the Integrated Management System (IMS); knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001 is advantageous</li><li>Act as a point of contact for all quality-related issues within the business</li><li>Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)</li><li>Monitor supplier quality performance and support supplier development initiatives</li><li>Lead structured problem-solving activities, including 8D investigations and 5 Why analysis</li><li>Identify and implement quality improvement opportunities to enhance product and process performance</li><li>Plan and conduct internal IMS audits, supplier audits, and support external ISO audits</li><li>Track and report quality KPIs, including PPM, Pareto analysis, and trends</li><li>Provide coaching, guidance, and support on quality procedures, tools, and best practices</li><li>Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Supply Chain, HSE, and other support functions</li><li>Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and company value</li><li>Maintain governance over Data Protection, Information Security, and Cyber Security</li><li>Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested</li></ul><strong>What we're looking for: </strong><ul><li>Experience in Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance within manufacturing</li><li>Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes</li><li>HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and completed mechanical apprenticeship</li><li>Skilled in quality tools and methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Pareto, PPM)</li><li>Analytical with a structured approach to investigation and root cause analysis</li><li>Able to work independently and within cross-functional teams</li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Confident with SAP and Microsoft Office</li><li>Effective time management to meet deadlines</li><li>Full, current UK driving licence</li></ul><strong>Desirable:</strong><ul><li>Experience in QHSE and safety initiatives</li><li>Conducting internal, supplier, or system audits</li><li>Involvement in process improvement and lean initiatives</li><li>Experience with ISO certification audits</li><li>Six Sigma certification (minimum Green Belt)</li></ul><strong>What's in it for you: </strong><ul><li>Competitive salary package</li><li>External reward scheme -</li><li>Electric Car Scheme</li><li>Enhanced Pension Scheme - Employer 5%, raising to 7% after 3 years</li><li>Enhanced Holidays - 28days + Bank Holidays</li><li>Clear progression and development opportunities - including worldwide opportunities</li><li>Opportunity to work on complex and varied engineering projects</li><li>Flexitime opportunities</li><li>Workplace healthcare provider</li><li>Supportive and collaborative working environment</li><li>Exposure to cutting-edge engineering processes and technologies</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?DLlfkpzUkdClvVWn6Acc7Zjg9uhgeqmfh" width="0" height="0" />
