<p>Job Description</p><br>Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.<br><p>A well-established chemical manufacturing business is seeking an electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team in Tameside. This is a permanent opportunity offering stability, a strong salary package, and the chance to work within a process-driven production environment.</p><p>The Role</p><p>Working on a rotating 3-shift pattern (06:00-14:00, 07:00-15:00, 14:00-22:00), you will be responsible for maintaining plant reliability through a combination of preventative and reactive maintenance. You'll play a key role in ensuring production uptime while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Electrical and mechanical maintenance across all plant machinery</li><li>Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown response</li><li>Fault-finding on electrical and mechanical systems</li><li>Identifying and implementing continuous improvements to enhance performance and reliability</li><li>Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and within required timeframes</li><li>Supporting production teams to minimise downtime</li><li>Maintaining accurate maintenance records</li><li>Providing guidance and mentorship to on-site apprentices</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer</li><li>Recognised engineering qualification (apprentice trained preferred)</li><li>Strong electrical fault-finding skills, supported by mechanical knowledge</li><li>Experience within a manufacturing or process environment (chemical advantageous)</li><li>Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li><li>Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment</li><li>High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards</li><li>Flexible and adaptable approach to workload</li></ul><p>What's on Offer</p><ul><li>Salary: £45,000</li><li>Rotating 3-shift pattern (no nights requirement)</li><li>Long-term, stable employment within a well-established manufacturer</li><li>Opportunity to work in a supportive engineering team with scope to influence improvements</li></ul><p>Interested?</p><p>If you're an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for your next opportunity, apply today. xwzovoh Referral incentives are also available for successful placements.</p><p>Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates</p>
