Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

<p></p><p>A well-established FMCG manufacturer is seeking an <strong>electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer</strong> to join its on-site engineering team. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term security, strong earning potential, and exposure to modern, high-speed manufacturing equipment.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><strong>The Role</strong><p>Working on a <strong>Panama shift pattern (days and nights)</strong>, you will be responsible for maintaining production performance through effective breakdown response, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance. You'll play a key role in driving equipment reliability and minimising downtime in a fast-paced environment.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Electrical and mechanical breakdown response on high-speed production and packaging machinery</li><li>Advanced electrical fault-finding on motors, drives, sensors, and control systems</li><li>Mechanical maintenance including conveyors, pneumatics, bearings, and gearboxes</li><li>Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)</li><li>Root cause analysis and implementation of permanent corrective actions</li><li>Accurate completion of maintenance records within the CMMS</li><li>Working closely with Production teams to achieve downtime and OEE targets</li><li>Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures</li><li>Supporting and mentoring Apprentices when required</li></ul><strong>Requirements</strong><ul><li>Electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer</li><li>Strong fault-finding ability in an FMCG or high-speed manufacturing environment</li><li>Solid mechanical maintenance knowledge</li><li>Previous experience working continental or Panama shift patterns</li><li>Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent - desirable)</li><li>Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently on shift</li></ul><strong>What's on Offer</strong><ul><li>Salary <strong>up to £49,000</strong></li><li>Overtime paid at <strong>1.5x</strong></li><li>Panama shift pattern (better work-life balance vs traditional continental)</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)</li><li>Long-term, stable employment with a growing manufacturer</li></ul><strong>Interested?</strong><p>If you're an experienced Engineer looking for your next opportunity, apply today using the link.
