Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer<br><br>Interested in learning more about this job Scroll down and find out what skills, experience and educational qualifications are needed.<br>- Lisburn<br>- 4 Day Week<br>- Salary up to £47000 Your New Company A specialist food production site with a wealth of experience in their field.<br><br>Your New Role To be successful within this role you will be a hands-on problem solver, capable of maintaining complex food processing equipment, fabricating food-grade stainless steel pipework and troubleshooting electrical control systems.<br><br>You will ensure that all machinery operates at peak efficiency while adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.<br><br>Whilst working your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Maintenance & Production Support Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on food processing equipment, including pasteurisers, separators, homogenisers, freezers and milk filling machines <br>* Minimise downtime by rapidly diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults during production runs <br>* Monitor production line efficiency and suggest engineering improvements to increase throughput or reduce waste <br>* Ensure all engineering work complies with HACCP, GMP and food safety regulations.<br><br>Stainless Steel Fabrication & Welding Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel pipework and vessels to food-grade/sanitary standards (purge welding) <br>* Fabricate and modify pipe runs, valve manifolds and support structures as required for line changes or upgrades <br>* Ensure all welds are smooth, crevice-free and pass sanitary inspections to prevent bacterial growth.<br><br>Electrical & Automation Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems ranging from low-voltage control circuits (24V) to 3-phase power systems (415V/480V) <br>* Install, calibrate and maintain instrumentation (flow meters, temperature sensors, pressure transducers etc.) <br>* Diagnose faults in motor starters, VFDs and PLCs <br>* Read and interpret electrical schematics for fault-finding and installation of new machinery.<br><br>What You'll Need To Succeed In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications: Essential 10+ years maintenance experience <br>* Trade qualification or degree: Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent trade certification <br>* Welding Proficiency: Proven experience in Stainless Steel TIG welding specifically for the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry (Sanitary welding experience is critical) <br>* Electrical Competency: Certified electrical qualification (e.g., 17th/18th Edition) with experience in industrial fault-finding <br>* Industry Experience: Previous experience in a dairy, brewery, or FMCG environment <br>* Hygiene Awareness: Deep understanding of Clean-in-Place systems and hygienic design principles.<br><br>Desirable Experience with PLC programming or troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi) <br>* Experience with industrial refrigeration systems (Freon) <br>* Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.<br><br>What You'll Get In Return This role offers a fantastic salary package of up to £47000 for working just a 4 day week (Tuesday<br>- Friday 07:30<br>- 18:00).<br><br>What You Need To Do Now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.<br><br>If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career. xwzovoh <br><br>Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.<br><br>By applying for this job you accept the T&C's, Privacy Policy and Disclaimers which can be Skills: multi-skilled maintenance automation FMCG electrical maintenance Benefits: Up to £47000<br>TPBN1_NI
