<p><strong>Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer </strong></p><p><strong>Shift: Day shift </strong></p><p><strong>Location: Cheltenham</strong></p><p><strong>Salary: Excellent Salary + Excellent benefits package </strong></p><p>We are seeking a driven and technically capable Sales & Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid role combining customer-facing technical sales with hands-on manufacturing engineering.</p><p>You will be responsible for developing customer relationships, generating new business, and delivering end-to-end manufacturing solutions—from initial enquiry through to production. This role requires strong knowledge of precision machining, commercial awareness, and the ability to translate customer requirements into efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes.</p><p><br><br>You could be just the right applicant for this job Read all associated information and make sure to apply.<br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities – Manufacturing Engineer </strong></p><ul><li>Engage with customers to develop tailored manufacturing solutions</li><li>Manage and grow key accounts while identifying new business opportunities</li><li>Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and support customer tenders</li><li>Lead projects from enquiry through to production and successful delivery</li><li>Develop manufacturing methods, process plans, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)</li><li>Ability to generate CNC programs (Milling, Turning, EDM) using CAM software</li><li>Ability to produce CAD drawings and design jigs/fixtures (HyperMILL)</li><li>Ensure smooth transition of new projects into production</li><li>Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets</li><li>Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing principles</li><li>Support tooling, inspection, and production readiness activities</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications & Requirements – Manufacturing Engineer </strong></p><ul><li>Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or related discipline</li><li>Strong background in precision machining and manufacturing engineering</li><li>Experience in technical sales, account management, or customer-facing engineering roles</li><li>Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g., HyperMILL & Vericut)</li><li>Knowledge of CNC machining processes and manufacturing methods</li><li>Experience with ERP/MRP systems</li><li>Understanding of AS9100 or similar quality standards</li><li>Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Commercially aware with a proactive, xwzovoh results-driven approach</li><li>Experience in Aerospace & Defence</li><li>Knowledge of ITAR/export regulations</li><li>Experience with Lean tools (5S, SPC, TPM, etc.)</li><li>Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What we can offer – Manufacturing Engineer </strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary</li><li>Company pension plan</li><li>Life assurance</li><li>Healthcare Plan</li><li>Free onsite parking</li></ul><p><br></p><p>For more information on this role, please contact Paul Furlong on or send a copy of your CV to </p><p>Candidates who are currently a Manufacturing Engineer, Engineering Lead, Production Engineer or Project Engineer may be suitable for this role.</p><p>For details of other opportunities available within your chosen field please visit our website
