<p><strong>Fuel Systems Installation Design Engineer</strong></p><p><strong>Contract | Aerospace Engineering</strong></p><p><br><br>Skills, Experience, Qualifications, If you have the right match for this opportunity, then make sure to apply today.<br></p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced <strong>Fuel Systems Installation Design Engineer</strong> to join our client's established aerospace team based in Filton, Bristol. This role offers the chance to contribute to the design and development of aircraft systems within a collaborative, multinational engineering environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Information</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Location:</strong> Filton, Bristol (100% onsite)</li><li><strong>Contract Duration:</strong> Until <strong>31 December 2026</strong> (possible extension)</li><li><strong>Pay Rate: £42.10 per hour Umbrella / £31.47 per hour PAYE</strong></li><li><strong>Working Hours:</strong> 35 hours per week (overtime paid at standard rate)</li><li><strong>IR35:</strong> Inside IR35 </li><li>Due to the sensitive nature of the role there are nationality restrictions. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>You will be responsible for supporting the end‑to‑end design of fuel system installations, from early concept through to manufacturing and in‑service support. Working within a systems installation design team, you will help deliver safe, efficient and high‑quality engineering solutions across multiple aircraft programmes.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Contribute to the full design lifecycle including conceptual design, modification activities and maturity gate support</li><li>Design and validate fuel system installation components and assemblies, optimised for weight, cost, performance and manufacturability</li><li>Produce and deliver Definition Dossiers for Manufacturing and Assembly</li><li>Carry out technical studies, trade‑offs and investigations in line with approved design methods and procedures</li><li>Support product development, introduction of modifications, and manufacturing and build support activities</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Skills & Experience</strong></p><p><strong>Essential:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong experience using xwzovoh <strong>CATIA V5</strong></li><li>Proven background in <strong>3D CAD design</strong></li><li>Experience with design and configuration toolsets such as PASS, DPDS, VPM, ICC/ACP</li><li>Strong communication skills with a proactive, delivery‑focused approach</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in fuel systems (preferred, not essential)</li><li>Background in hydraulics systems or landing gear</li><li>Previous aerospace industry experience</li></ul><p><br></p><p>This role would suit an experienced installation or systems design engineer seeking a stable, long‑term contract within the aerospace sector.
