You'll be part of a collaborative, multinational engineering community that values quality, innovation and continuous improvement.<strong>The role</strong></p><p> As a Mechanical / Fuel Systems Installation Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and manufacturable system designs from concept through to in-service support. Working within a supportive and diverse engineering team, you'll have exposure to a wide range of aircraft programmes, including <strong>Single Aisle, A330, A350, A380 and A400M</strong>, as well as future-facing R&T projects.</p><p> This role offers genuine scope to broaden your technical capability, influence design decisions, and work closely with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing and suppliers.<strong>What you'll be doing</strong></p><ul><li>Contributing to the <strong>end-to-end design lifecycle</strong>, from early concept through to detailed design, modification and maturity gates</li><li>Designing and validating <strong>mechanical and fuel system installation components and assemblies</strong>, optimised for safety, weight, cost and manufacturability</li><li>Producing and delivering <strong>Definition Dossiers</strong> to support manufacturing and final assembly lines</li><li>Leading and supporting <strong>technical studies, trade-offs and investigations</strong>, ensuring solutions meet Airbus design methods and procedures</li><li>Supporting <strong>product improvement, in-service activities and wing build</strong>, including the introduction of new modifications</li><li>Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across multiple sites and disciplines</li></ul><p><strong>What we're looking for</strong></p><p> We welcome applications from engineers with transferable system installation experience. A fuel systems background is beneficial but <strong>not essential</strong>.</p><p><strong>Essential experience and skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong experience using <strong>CATIA V5</strong></li><li>Proven capability in <strong>3D CAD mechanical design</strong></li><li>Experience with configuration and design toolsets such as <strong>PASS, DPDS, VPM, ICC/ACP</strong> (or similar)</li><li>A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong communication skills</li><li>Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, inclusive engineering team</li></ul><p>Experience in <strong>hydraulic systems or landing gear installation</strong> is considered highly transferable.<strong>Working pattern & security</strong></p><ul><li><strong>35 hours per week</strong>, worked over 4.5 days between <strong>07:00 - 19:00</strong> (hours agreed locally)</li><li><strong>Occasional travel</strong> may be required</li><li><strong>BPSS clearance</strong> required (completed by Airbus Security)</li><li><strong>ITAR restrictions apply</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Pay & benefits</strong></p><ul><li><strong>£31.47 per hour (PAYE)</strong> or <strong>£42.10 per hour (Umbrella)</strong></li><li>One-stage <strong>on-site interview process</strong></li><li>Opportunity to work on globally recognised aerospace programmes</li></ul><p><strong>Why join Guidant Global?</strong></p><p> At Guidant Global, we connect brilliant people with meaningful, long-term opportunities.
