Salary: £26,000 per annum Location: Poplar, East London Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm About the Role We are seeking a reliable and proactive Estate Operative to help maintain a high standard across a residential development in Poplar, East London. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the estate remains clean, safe, and well-presented at all times, while delivering excellent customer service to residents and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the site. This is a hands-on role involving estate upkeep, waste management, cleaning duties, and general site support. Key Responsibilities Ensure all bin stores are kept clean and tidy on a daily basis Disinfect bin stores weekly, including jet washing four times per year Move bins for scheduled collections and return them after collection Break down and dispose of bulk waste where appropriate Sweep and maintain cycle stores on a weekly basis Sweep and clear car parks weekly Keep courtyards and communal areas clean and presentable Carry out litter picking across the estate Empty litter bins regularly Sweep leaves and debris from all external areas Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the estate Skills & Experience xwzovoh Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated Good attention to detail Proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Benefits 20 days annual leave + bank holidays Pension scheme Long service awards Sponsorship towards completing industry recognised qualifications ie: IOSH / NEBOSH Discounted gym membership
