<p></p><p>Interim Estates Operations Manager (Band 8a)</p><p></p><p>Location: West MidlandsRate: £200-£240 per day Umbrella Inside IR35</p><p></p><p>An NHS organisation in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Interim Estates Operations Manager to lead the delivery of operational estates services across a large acute site.</p><p>This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant and high-performing healthcare environment, managing both in-house teams and external contractors.</p><p></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Lead the day-to-day operational management of estates maintenance services across buildings, engineering systems and grounds </li><li>Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, HTMs and H&S regulations </li><li>Manage planned and reactive maintenance programmes to deliver a safe and efficient patient environment </li><li>Oversee estates contracts, procurement activity and contractor performance </li><li>Take responsibility for delegated budgets, driving value for money and efficiency improvements </li><li>Lead, develop and performance manage estates teams, fostering a strong and collaborative culture </li><li>Act as Authorised Person (or work towards) across key disciplines such as water safety, medical gases, ventilation or electrical systems </li><li>Support business continuity planning and respond to operational incidents as required, including participation in on-call </li></ul><p></p><p>Essential experience:</p><ul><li>Significant experience in estates operations within a complex healthcare environment </li><li>Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, HTMs and estates governance frameworks </li><li>Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external contractors </li><li>Demonstrable experience of budget management and service improvement </li><li>Degree (or equivalent experience) in a building services or engineering discipline </li><li>Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH or IOSH) </li><li>Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills </li></ul><p></p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estates professional to make an immediate impact within a critical NHS service.</p><p></p><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?G0hIdw8wpttS7QW7XWzRLAeA4Uv8viEWq" width="0" height="0" />
