Qualifications / Experience<br><br>Ensure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.<br>Experienced manager with FMCG Engineering Essential.<br>Oversee manage and develop processes to ensure and improve the flow of work through the factory<br>Oversee the management of Service work<br>Manage engineering resource<br>Report to directors<br>Employee and manage additional engineers<br><br>The Person<br>You will manage the planning of the Engineering department with a hand’s on approached. You will develop and coordinate engineering works, related schedules and resources, skills, and materials needed to maintain installations and equipment to avoid or minimise disruptions in production.<br>You will also support and oversee the service and spares department. Improving stock management and managing staff required for the service work accordingly.<br><br>Roles & Responsibilities<br>• Direct involvement in ongoing projects<br>• Manage Engineering personnel including service and factory engineers and the projects / works<br>• Role is both office and factory based in Rochester<br>• Collaborate with Sales and produce production schedules, identify equipment involved and plan for resources, skills and materials<br>• Review plans with the Directors to validate feasibility.<br>• Communicate with the Stores person to monitor inventory of materials and equipment necessary for planned activities, focussing on pending installations. xwzovoh <br>• Monitor and report on activities and related costs versus plans and budgets<br>• Ongoing improvement and development of Engineering Standards and Engineering Compliance Policies<br>• Passionate about quality and best practice whilst driving continuous improvement<br>• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive quality, cost, reliability, and safety performance.<br>• Able to deliver solid cost and inventory controls<br>• Driven by solutions with a positive approach, ideas and innovation motivated<br>• Good knowledge of engineering requirements to estimate labour hours, material requirement and skills needed to complete a job<br>• Good knowledge of planning, scheduling and stock control<br>• Demonstrated project planning and project management skills<br><br>Benefits<br>Pension ~ ‘Auto-enrolment’ scheme<br>25 days holiday, usually keeping 3 for Christmas<br>Sick pay – subject to probation, up to 5 days rolling year<br>Company workwear<br>Training in line with job role<br>Laptop<br>Mobile Phone
