<p><strong>Group Sales Director - Expanding Scientific & Engineering Technology Group (UK wide)</strong></p><p><br><br>Qualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below.<br></p><p> Midlands / Reading Corridor | UK Travel</p><p><br></p><p>A growing UK portfolio group of SME engineering and technology businesses is seeking an experienced <strong>Group Sales Director</strong> to drive commercial performance, sales consistency, and revenue growth across the Group, by modernisation of CRM's, strategy and sales oportunties working with the sales teams in the individual SME's.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>You must have a 3-5 years of experience driving new Sales Strategies across groups, and in a Product Engineer/Manufacturing Sales Environment to fit this role.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The businesses operate across:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Scientific Engineering Products </li><li>Sensor Technologies </li><li>Instrumentation </li><li>Industrial & Engineering Technology </li><li>Advanced Manufacturing Solutions </li></ul><p><br></p><p>This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role focused on improving sales effectiveness, embedding scalable processes, strengthening forecasting accuracy, and building a high-performance commercial culture across multiple technical businesses.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Reporting at Group level, you will partner with Managing Directors and leadership teams to:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Develop and execute a Group-wide sales strategy </li><li>Drive revenue growth and margin improvement </li><li>Standardise CRM adoption, reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management </li><li>Implement scalable sales processes and KPIs </li><li>Coach and develop sales leadership teams </li><li>Improve collaboration and cross-selling across the portfolio </li><li>Support commercial integration of acquisitions </li></ul><p><br></p><p>You will be comfortable operating at both board and operational level, with the credibility to influence technically focused Sales engineering organisations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><p>You will have a strong background leading sales within technical or engineering-led businesses and experience operating across multi-site or portfolio environments.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Senior sales leadership within engineering, industrial, or technical product sectors </li><li>Proven track record improving sales performance across SME businesses </li><li>Experience with CRM implementation and sales process optimisation </li><li>Strong commercial, forecasting, and pipeline management capability </li><li>Ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple businesses </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Sector Experience</strong></p><p>Experience within one or more of the following is highly desirable:</p><ul><li>Scientific Engineering Products </li><li>Sensor Technologies </li><li>Instrumentation </li><li>Engineering Technology </li><li>Industrial Technical Products </li><li>Advanced Manufacturing Technologies </li></ul><p><br></p><p>Experience from SaaS, retail, or pure service sales backgrounds is unlikely to be suitable without strong technical engineering sector exposure. xwzovoh </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Package</strong></p><ul><li>£100,000 – £110,000 Base Salary </li><li>30–40% Performance Bonus </li><li>Car Allowance / Company Car </li><li>Equity / Share Scheme </li><li>Private Healthcare </li><li>Pension </li><li>Hybrid / Flexible Working </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Why Join?</strong></p><p><br></p><p>This is a rare opportunity to shape and lead the commercial strategy of an ambitious and expanding engineering technology group, creating measurable impact across multiple high-growth technical businesses throughout the UK and drive a group forward in their sales growth, CRM's and approach</p>
