<strong>Technical Migration Lead (Jira Cloud) - Tier 1 Investment Bank</strong><p> London (Hybrid - 3 days onsite) Up to £850/day (Inside IR35) ASAP Start Initial contract to end of year (likely extension)</p><p>A <strong>Tier 1 Investment Bank</strong> is seeking a <strong>Technical Migration Lead</strong> to drive a large-scale <strong>Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud migration</strong> across its <strong>Finance & Risk Technology</strong> function.</p><p>This is a <strong>high-impact, infrastructure-focused role</strong> supporting a major regulatory-driven data and technology transformation programme, with responsibility for migrating <strong>300-400 Jira projects</strong> into a single, governed cloud environment.</p><strong>The Role</strong><p>You'll take ownership of a <strong>dedicated migration workstream</strong>, leading end-to-end delivery across planning, execution, and governance. Working closely with engineering teams, Jira practitioners, and embedded Atlassian specialists, you'll ensure a smooth, controlled transition to Jira Cloud with minimal disruption.</p><p>This role sits within a <strong>risk technology environment</strong> (counterparty credit risk), so exposure to <strong>Market Risk, RWA, Basel, or similar domains</strong> is highly valuable.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Lead <strong>end-to-end Jira Cloud migration delivery</strong> (discovery, mapping, dry runs, cutover, and aftercare)</li><li>Orchestrate <strong>wave-based migration planning</strong> across hundreds of projects</li><li>Drive <strong>governance, RAID management, and dependency tracking</strong> across workstreams</li><li>Standardise <strong>Jira templates, workflows, and plugin usage</strong> in the Cloud environment</li><li>Collaborate with <strong>engineering teams and Jira SMEs</strong> to ensure migration readiness and adoption</li><li>Produce <strong>executive reporting, dashboards, and migration KPIs</strong></li><li>Support <strong>data validation, archival strategy, and regulatory evidence requirements</strong></li><li>Work closely with <strong>Atlassian teams embedded in the business</strong></li></ul><strong>Required Experience</strong><ul><li>Proven experience leading <strong>Jira Cloud migrations</strong> in complex enterprise environments</li><li>Strong <strong>Jira SME / Administration expertise</strong> (Data Center Cloud)</li><li>Experience with <strong>Atlassian tools</strong> (Jira, Confluence, plugins such as ScriptRunner, Advanced Roadmaps, etc.)</li><li>Solid understanding of <strong>data migration, scripting, or API-based tooling</strong></li><li>Experience managing <strong>large-scale, multi-team technology workstreams</strong></li><li>Strong <strong>RAID management, governance, and stakeholder communication skills</strong></li><li>Background in <strong>financial services</strong> preferred (Market Risk, RWA, Basel, or similar highly desirable)</li></ul><strong>Apply Now</strong><p>This is an urgent requirement with a target <strong>start date ASAP (ideally by 1st June)</strong>.</p><p> Please submit your CV by <strong>Monday</strong> to be considered.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?KmGIYyL1tv5ogHMTCVL%2ftYkaZ1y8KJXMu" width="0" height="0" />
