<strong>Job Title:</strong> Team Leader - Complex Care<strong>Location:</strong> CH60, Wirral<strong>Hours:</strong> 30 hours per week (2.5 days) Monday - Friday<strong>Pay Rate:</strong> £18.50 -increasing to £20ph once a full team is in place.<strong>Essential:</strong> Driver with a clean UK licence (manual or automatic)<strong>About the Role</strong><ul><li>We are recruiting an experienced Team Leader to support a specialist complex care package for a young man with complex health needs living at home in the Wirral.</li><li>This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who is passionate about person-centred, compassionate care and who can provide calm, consistent leadership to a small, dedicated team.</li><li>You will lead by example, ensuring care is delivered with dignity, empathy and respect, while supporting staff to grow in confidence and skill.</li><li>The Team Leader will attend shifts first, be involved in the recruitment of a small team and ensure safe, consistent practice and effective oversight.</li></ul><strong>Working Hours & Structure</strong> This is a day-based leadership role, working 30hrs per week across 2.5 days alongside a 2nd Team leader sharing responsibility.<strong>Typical working pattern includes:</strong><ul><li>Approximately 08:00 - 20:00, with mid-week handover</li><li>Overseeing morning and evening staff handovers</li><li>Occasionally supporting or advising around night support if required</li></ul><strong>About the Service User</strong> You will be supporting a young man with complex health needs, including:<ul><li>Support with personal care and hygiene</li><li>Medications</li><li>Seizure management</li><li>Nutrition support</li><li>Moving and handling, including hoists and slings</li><li>Non-verbal communication and neuro disability</li><li>Calm, reassuring support</li><li>Sensory interaction</li><li>Time outdoors</li><li>Meaningful, relationship-based care</li></ul><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Work alongside the support team to guide and mentor</li><li>Liaising with family members and professionals</li><li>Responding to the needs of the service throughout the day</li></ul><ul><li>Observing practice and ensuring staff are trained and confident</li><li>Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for a small team</li><li>Ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred care is delivered consistently</li><li>Support staff inductions, job shadowing, and competencies</li><li>Promote safe practices and ongoing learning</li><li>Oversee support plans, risk assessments, and documentation</li><li>Promote a positive, calm and empathetic team culture</li></ul><strong>Experience & Skills Required</strong><ul><li>Minimum NVQ Level 4 (or above) in Health & Social Care</li><li>5+ years' experience in complex care and team leading</li><li>Experience supporting neurological conditions and epilepsy</li><li>Confident with moving and handling, including hoists and slings</li><li>Confident in clinical care tasks such as PEG feeding</li><li>A calm, empathetic and confident leadership style</li><li>Excellent verbal communication and recording skills</li></ul><strong>What We Offer</strong><ul><li>Above-market pay</li><li>Dedicated learning and development support</li><li>Job shadowing</li><li>Hands-on support from the Clinical Lead Nurse</li><li>Free online training courses</li><li>Refer-a-Friend scheme (up to £500)</li><li>Flexible PAYE holiday pay</li></ul><em>Some of our roles require drivers and male or female employees only.
