This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer ready to step up, or an established team leader looking for a new challenge within a well‑invested, forward‑thinking operation. </p><p>You'll lead a small on‑shift engineering team, drive reliability, support continuous improvement, and ensure equipment uptime across fast‑paced FMCG lines. </p><hr /><h2><strong>Responsibilities: </strong> </h2><ul><li>Leading and developing a team of engineers across the shift </li><li>Prioritising and delegating maintenance tasks to maximise efficiency </li><li>Supporting planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance across production assets </li><li>Ensuring full compliance with site H&S procedures (permits, RAMS, audits) </li><li>Working with automation, packaging, and processing equipment (conveyors, robotics, weighing, vision systems, thermoformers, etc.) </li><li>Working closely with senior engineering leadership to improve performance, downtime, and reliability </li><li>Supporting training, skills gap development, and contractor management </li><li>Balancing hands-on and hands-off duties depending on operational needs </li> </ul><hr /> </p> <p><strong>Requirements: </strong><br /><ul><li>Strong electrical bias (or multiskilled with strong electrical capability) </li><li>Proven engineering experience within FMCG, manufacturing or food production </li><li>Level 3 or above in Engineering + relevant electrical certification (18th Edition ideal) </li><li>Confident fault-finding on PLC‑controlled systems (any brand considered) </li><li>Good knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, motors, and inverters </li><li>Experience supervising or leading small teams (official or unofficial) </li><li>Strong communicator with good initiative and problem-solving ability </li> </ul><p><strong>Nice to Have: </strong> </p><ul><li>PLC programming exposure </li><li>CI / improvement experience </li><li>OEM liaison experience </li><li>Health & Safety qualifications </li> </ul><hr /><h2><strong>How to Apply </strong> </h2><p>If you're an experienced engineer who enjoys leading from the front and wants to develop within a growing, well‑invested operation, click <em>Apply Now </em> to submit your CV.
