Senior Infrastructure Engineer

<strong>We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer with a strong technical background in Microsoft 365, security, and modern workplace technologies. This role focuses on designing, securing, and improving Microsoft environments for customers, while acting as a trusted technical advisor and escalation point within the engineering team.</strong><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Design, deploy, and optimise Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Groups.</li><li>Lead tenant reviews, remediation projects, migrations, and platform standardisation.</li><li>Design and manage secure identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID.</li><li>Implement and maintain security technologies including Conditional Access, MFA, Passwordless Authentication, PIM, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Purview.</li><li>Manage and secure endpoints using Intune and Windows Autopilot across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.</li><li>Apply Zero Trust and Microsoft security best practices to customer environments.</li><li>Support compliance and governance requirements including GDPR and ISO-aligned controls.</li><li>Use PowerShell and automation to improve efficiency, consistency, and service quality.</li><li>Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, and runbooks.</li><li>Act as a senior escalation point for complex incidents and projects.</li><li>Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards across the business.</li><li>Build strong customer relationships and translate business requirements into secure technical solutions.</li></ul><strong>Required Skills & Experience</strong><ul><li>Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and architecture.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of:<ul><li>Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)</li><li>Intune & Windows Autopilot</li><li>Microsoft Defender & security tooling</li><li>SharePoint Online & Teams</li><li>Exchange Online</li></ul></li><li>Experience working within MSP or multi-tenant environments.</li><li>Strong understanding of identity, endpoint security, and compliance best practices.</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Ability to lead technical decisions and work independently.</li></ul><strong>Desirable Skills</strong><ul><li>PowerShell scripting and automation.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.</li><li>Experience improving technical standards and engineering processes.</li></ul><p></p><p>Spectrum IT Recruitment (South) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?Lvxcf8sYvdrCf49y9m2Dv7VxLcXq4q3On" width="0" height="0" />
