Senior Engineering Geologist

<p><strong>Senior Engineering Geologist </strong></p><p><strong>Aberdeen </strong></p><p><strong>£40,000 - £45,000</strong></p><p>A well-established and growing consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Engineering Geologist to join its Aberdeen team, with a strong focus on renewables projects. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior role within a supportive environment, working on impactful projects across the energy transition.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong> You'll play a key role in delivering ground investigation and geoenvironmental projects across sectors such as offshore wind, onshore wind, and wider infrastructure.</p><p>Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Planning, managing, and interpreting ground investigations for renewables schemes</li><li>Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical and geoenvironmental reports</li><li>Supervising site works including drilling, sampling, and logging</li><li>Providing geological and geotechnical input into design (foundations, earthworks, slope stability)</li><li>Supporting offshore and onshore project delivery where required</li><li>Mentoring junior engineers and geologists</li><li>Liaising with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, or a related discipline</li><li>Strong industry experience in a similar role (typically 5+ years)</li><li>Experience working on infrastructure or energy/renewables projects</li><li>Solid understanding of ground investigation and reporting</li><li>Experience supervising site works and managing projects</li><li>Working towards or holding Chartered status (GeolSoc/ICE) is desirable</li><li>Full UK driving licence</li></ul><p><strong>What's on offer</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits package</li><li>Clear progression and development opportunities</li><li>Support towards chartership</li><li>Flexible working options</li><li>Opportunity to work on major renewables and energy transition projects</li></ul><p>Please reach out to Ruby Evans at Penguin Recruitment if you are interested in applying.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?kvKO%2fmG%2frVqJIOyhibNdUnnngqifzwzvg" width="0" height="0" />
