<p><strong>Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer Basingstoke, Hampshire £45,000 - £50,000</strong></p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established and growing environmental and geotechnical consultancy in Basingstoke. This role offers the chance to work on a wide range of brownfield redevelopment and contaminated land projects across the UK, with clear progression into leadership.</p><p>The Role</p><p>As a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering technically robust and commercially aware solutions across a diverse project portfolio. You will be responsible for managing projects from initial site investigation through to remediation and verification.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Managing and delivering geoenvironmental and contaminated land projects</li><li>Designing and overseeing ground investigations</li><li>Interpreting geotechnical and chemical data and producing factual and interpretive reports</li><li>Conducting Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Site Investigations</li><li>Risk assessments (human health, groundwater, and gas)</li><li>Designing remediation strategies and verification reporting</li><li>Liaising with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams</li><li>Mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline</li><li>5+ years' experience in a geoenvironmental or contaminated land role</li><li>Strong knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and guidance</li><li>Experience with risk assessment tools (e.g., CLEA)</li><li>Excellent report writing and communication skills</li><li>Full UK driving licence</li></ul><p>Desirable</p><ul><li>Chartered status (or working towards) with a relevant body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM, or Geological Society)</li><li>Experience managing projects and client relationships</li><li>Knowledge of geotechnical principles</li></ul><p>Benefits</p><ul><li>Competitive salary and annual bonus</li><li>Company pension scheme</li><li>Private healthcare</li><li>Flexible/hybrid working options</li><li>Continued professional development and support towards chartership</li><li>Clear career progression pathway</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?NNcQ65VzYn1FDjdsyFP5a9ugId9cN1wiz" width="0" height="0" />
