<p><strong>Quality Manager (Study Abroad)</strong></p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> £24.24 to £24.87 per hour + holiday (c. £44,822.04 salaried equivalent).</p><p><strong>Contract:</strong> Full-time (35 hours per week), temporary for up to 3 months initially.</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Central London (hybrid working, 2/3 days onsite per week).</p><p></p><p>We are delighted to be supporting a leading higher education institution in their search for a <strong>Quality Manager (Study Abroad)</strong>. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced international education professional to take a lead role in the development, governance and enhancement of global student mobility opportunities.</p><p></p><p>Working within an academic quality and standards environment, this role plays a critical part in ensuring that study abroad partnerships are well managed, compliant, student-centred and strategically aligned. The postholder will collaborate extensively with academic colleagues, professional services teams, external partners and funders to deliver high-quality international learning experiences.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key responsibilities for this role include:</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Study Abroad Systems, Governance & Partnerships</strong></p><ul><li>Leading the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of systems and processes for study abroad partnership administration, ensuring compliance with internal policies, external regulatory requirements and sector best practice.</li><li>Developing and overseeing approval processes for study abroad placement institutions, including due diligence checks and maintaining accurate records of approved providers and agreements.</li><li>Producing and managing study abroad partnership agreements for incoming and outgoing student mobilities.</li><li>Acting as secretary to committees or working groups overseeing study abroad or other collaborative provision.</li></ul><p><strong>Funding, Strategy & External Liaison</strong></p><ul><li>Taking a lead role in drafting funding applications for international student mobility schemes, including the Turing Scheme and other emerging funding opportunities.</li><li>Acting as the primary liaison between the institution and external funders, including government bodies.</li><li>Writing impact, update and evaluation reports on international student mobility for institutional committees.</li></ul><p><strong>Student, Academic & Partner Engagement</strong></p><ul><li>Managing and coordinating liaison between placement providers, incoming and outgoing students, and academic staff to ensure clear communication throughout the study abroad lifecycle.</li><li>Acting as a key point of contact for students, partner institutions and staff, providing proactive advice and problem-solving support.</li><li>Leading on the provision of advice, guidance and training for staff relating to international and study abroad opportunities.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality Assurance & Enhancement</strong></p><ul><li>Supporting quality assurance processes across the full study abroad lifecycle, including the collection, analysis and reporting of feedback from students, partners and academic staff.</li><li>Working closely with quality and collaborative provision teams to ensure that study abroad placements are embedded within the institution's wider quality assurance framework.</li><li>Contributing to the continuous enhancement of international mobility provision.</li></ul><p><strong>Information, Communications & Data</strong></p><ul><li>Maintaining clear, accessible and user-friendly information on study abroad opportunities for prospective students via the website and for current students and staff through internal platforms.</li><li>Ensuring accurate record keeping, reporting and governance documentation across all study abroad activity.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial Management</strong></p><ul><li>Managing student mobility budgets, ensuring value for money, robust financial controls, and compliance with both internal regulations and external funding requirements.</li><li>Maintaining accurate financial records and monitoring expenditure across partnership and mobility activity.</li></ul><p><strong>Wider Contribution</strong></p><ul><li>Contributing to projects and initiatives across the collaborative provision and academic partnerships portfolio, as directed by the line manager.</li></ul><p><strong>To be considered for this position, you should bring:</strong></p><ul><li>Significant experience working with international partnerships, study abroad or student mobility in a higher education setting.</li><li>Strong knowledge of quality assurance, governance and regulatory requirements within UK higher education.</li><li>Experience working with external funding schemes for student mobility.</li><li>Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage complex systems, budgets and competing priorities.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging academic colleagues, students and senior external stakeholders.</li><li>A collaborative, proactive approach and a strong commitment to enhancing the student experience through global opportunities.</li></ul><p> If you're motivated by the opportunity to shape international mobility provision and support impactful global learning experiences, we'd love to hear from you.</p><p></p><p>CVs will be reviewed on a rolling basis so if the role interests you, please apply ASAP and submit your CV in Word format.</p><p></p><p><em>As a specialist Recruitment Practice, we are committed to building inclusive and diverse organisations and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
