<p><strong>Maintenance Engineer - Days Mon-Fri Wickford (On-Site)</strong><strong>£40,000 - £45,000 + Progression Opportunities</strong></p><p>We are currently working with a growing and forward-thinking client to recruit a skilled <strong>Maintenance Engineer</strong> for their Wickford site. This is a full-time, days-based role (Monday to Friday), offering a great work-life balance alongside strong long-term prospects.</p><p>The business is expanding and has recently acquired a new facility, making this an exciting time to join and be part of their continued growth and investment.</p><p>In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, minimising downtime, and supporting operational output through a mix of planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and continuous improvement.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) across all production equipment</li><li>Diagnose faults and perform timely repairs to minimise downtime</li><li>Maintain and improve electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems</li><li>Support installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery</li><li>Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement effective solutions</li><li>Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation</li><li>Work closely with production teams to prioritise and resolve issues</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Strong background in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment</li><li>Proven experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems (fault finding and repair essential)</li><li>Hands-on experience in both reactive and preventive maintenance</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics</li><li>Good understanding of health and safety requirements in an industrial setting</li><li>Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>Experience in HVAC, fabrication, or similar industries is advantageous</li></ul><p><strong>What's on Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Days-based role (Monday to Friday)</li><li>Competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000</li><li>Opportunity to join a growing company with a newly acquired facility</li><li>Long-term progression and development opportunities</li></ul><p>If you're a reliable and motivated engineer looking to join a business on an upward trajectory, we'd like to hear from you.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?50N8xKcU4F3hh8Rx%2bmmG%2fYCpeG%2bSxLcRd" width="0" height="0" />
