<p><strong>Junior Project Manager - Groundwater & Dewatering</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Suffolk (site-based across Suffolk and neighbouring counties, with office support)<strong>Contract:</strong> Permanent, Full-Time<strong>Salary:</strong> Up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)<strong>Reporting to:</strong> Senior Project Manager / Operations Manager</p><p>Role Overview</p><p>We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of groundwater control and construction dewatering projects across Suffolk and the wider region.</p><p>This role suits someone with hands-on site or project support experience who is looking to progress into project management within a specialist engineering environment. You will work closely with experienced engineers and project managers, supporting projects from pre-construction through installation, operation and demobilisation of dewatering systems.</p><p>No degree is required. The role focuses on practical experience, strong organisation and a willingness to learn.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p><strong>Project Delivery & Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Support planning and delivery of groundwater control and dewatering systems, including wellpoints, deepwells, horizontal drainage, ejectors and pumping systems</li><li>Assist with day-to-day coordination of site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and plant</li><li>Track site progress, key milestones and programme interfaces</li><li>Support mobilisation and demobilisation of dewatering installations</li></ul><p><strong>Commercial & Programme Support</strong></p><ul><li>Assist with cost tracking, commercial administration and variations</li><li>Support preparation of programmes, method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)</li><li>Maintain clear and accurate project documentation and records</li></ul><p><strong>Health, Safety & Environment</strong></p><ul><li>Support implementation of health and safety procedures on live construction sites</li><li>Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks and compliance checks</li><li>Help ensure environmental controls, groundwater monitoring and discharge compliance are maintained</li></ul><p><strong>Client & Stakeholder Liaison</strong></p><ul><li>Support communication with clients, main contractors and consultants</li><li>Attend site coordination and progress meetings as required</li><li>Assist in responding to technical or site-based queries</li></ul><p><strong>Learning & Development</strong></p><ul><li>Develop a practical understanding of groundwater behaviour, hydrogeology and dewatering techniques</li><li>Gain exposure to pump testing, monitoring data and system optimisation</li><li>Build project management capability across planning, delivery and site operations</li></ul><p>Person Specification</p><p><strong>Essential</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in construction, engineering, groundworks, utilities or a project support role</li><li>Strong organisational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Clear communication and a proactive, hands-on approach</li><li>Willingness to work on active construction sites across Suffolk and surrounding counties</li><li>Basic understanding of construction environments and site safety</li><li>Competent using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook</li><li>Full UK driving licence (or working towards)</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with dewatering, pumping systems, groundworks or civil engineering</li><li>Awareness of CDM Regulations</li><li>Experience supporting site managers, engineers or project teams</li><li>Interest in groundwater management or specialist construction techniques</li></ul><p>What's Offered</p><ul><li>Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience</li><li>Clear progression into project management within a specialist discipline</li><li>Hands-on learning alongside experienced engineers and project managers</li><li>Exposure to technically challenging projects across the region</li><li>Long-term career development opportunities</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?4Da4ug1YhSZX9CGsuQg%2fKFMUjfXGJszGq" width="0" height="0" />
