<p><strong>Before & After School Care Club Interim Manager</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Burton on Trent<strong>Hours:</strong> Term Time Only, Monday-Friday</p><p><strong>Morning:</strong> 7:45am - 9:30am</p><p><strong>Afternoon:</strong> 3:00pm - 6:00pm</p><p><strong>Start Date:</strong> ASAP<strong>Contract Duration:</strong> Up to 1-year, Temporary Contract </p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>Reed are working with a before and after school club based at a Primary School in the Burton on Trent area to recruit an <strong>Interim Manager</strong>.This on-site provision offers wraparound care for children aged 4-11 and requires a warm, organised, and proactive leader to oversee daily operations and ensure the club continues to run safely, smoothly, and in line with statutory expectations.</p><p>You will play a key role in creating a positive, engaging environment for pupils while supporting staff, families, and the wider school community.</p><p></p><p><strong></strong><strong> Main Purpose of the Role</strong></p><ul><li>Provide a <strong>happy, safe, enriching environment</strong> where children feel welcomed and supported.</li><li>Ensure <strong>EYFS learning areas</strong> are planned, delivered, and effectively evaluated.</li><li>Support the school community by maintaining a <strong>warm, inclusive and well-managed</strong> provision.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Lead the day-to-day running of the club, ensuring high-quality play care.</li><li>Supervise and deploy staff effectively, including deputies, assistants, and volunteers.</li><li>Hold regular team meetings, provide feedback, and conduct appraisals.</li></ul><ul><li>Act as <strong>Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)</strong> and Ofsted <strong>Suitable Person</strong>.</li><li>Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and concerns reported promptly.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date policies, staff training records, DBS checks, and compliance documentation.</li><li>Notify Ofsted of relevant changes and oversee inspections.</li><li>Build excellent relationships with parents, carers, school staff, and external agencies.</li></ul><ul><li>Provide reports to management committees and attend meetings as required.</li><li>Advise families on childcare vouchers and payment options.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage intake forms, registers, attendance, incident logs, and food hygiene records.</li><li>Assist with fee collection and follow up on outstanding payments.</li><li>Maintain accurate financial records in collaboration with the administrator/treasurer.</li><li>Respond to surveys and requests from government bodies.</li></ul><ul><li>Plan and lead engaging activities promoting independence and learning.</li><li>Escort children safely between school and parents/carers.</li><li>Set up play environments, following hygiene and safety protocols.</li><li>Administer first aid as required.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong></strong><strong> Daily Duties Include</strong></p><ul><li>Delivering stimulating, age-appropriate activities</li><li>Providing snacks and refreshments</li><li>Ensuring safety during transitions</li><li>Supervising staff and volunteers</li><li>Maintaining administrative and financial records</li><li>Ensuring a safe, clean, and well-resourced environment</li><li>Following all EYFS and club policies</li><li>Attending relevant training</li></ul><p></p><p><strong></strong><strong> Required Qualifications & Training</strong></p><ul><li><strong>NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning & Development (Desirable)</strong></li><li><strong>Leadership & Management Training (Desirable)</strong></li><li><strong>DSL Level 3 Certificate (Desirable)</strong></li><li><strong>CAF Training (Desirable)</strong></li><li><strong>Child Protection Officer Training (Desirable)</strong></li><li><strong>Safer Recruitment Training (Desirable)</strong></li><li><strong>Level 2 Maths & English (Essential)</strong></li><li><strong>Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply </strong></li><li><strong>Experience working with children aged 4-11</strong></li><li><strong>Driving License </strong></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Apply Today</strong></p><p>If you're passionate about this opportunity, please apply above and we will be in touch!</p><p>Enhanced DBS & safeguarding checks required.Reed Education is a Disability Confident & Equal Opportunities employer.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?sFiDUbGRNFfOyYaEV4LtxzmyBNg%2bH9tLi" width="0" height="0" />
