Installation Engineer

<p><strong>Installation Operative</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Based in Great Tey, Colchester. Please note it will involve working on sites nationwide.</p><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time, Permanent</p><p>Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Installation Operative on behalf of a well-established company specialising in irrigation and bulk materials handling systems. Our client delivers high-quality installation services across the UK and offers a supportive working environment with opportunities to develop alongside experienced team members.</p><strong>Main Purpose of the Role</strong><p>To work alongside an experienced engineer assisting with the installation of irrigation and bulk materials handling systems, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.</p><strong>Roles & Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Assist with installation of irrigation systems and bulk materials handling equipment</li><li>Support experienced team members on-site</li><li>Carry out basic installation tasks including mechanical, plumbing, and electrical-related work</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe working environment</li><li>Work outdoors in various weather conditions</li></ul><strong>Additional Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Travel to job sites as required</li><li>Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment</li><li>Follow all health and safety procedures</li><li>Support the team with general site duties</li></ul><strong>Experience, Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Self-motivated with a positive attitude</li><li>Physically fit and able to work outdoors year-round</li><li>Basic knowledge of electrics and plumbing (advantageous)</li><li>Experience operating plant equipment such as MEWPs, telehandlers, forklifts, excavators, or dumpers (beneficial but not essential)</li><li>Full UK driving licence (essential)</li><li>Own transport to travel to and from the yard in Great Tey</li></ul><strong>Working Pattern & Benefits</strong><ul><li><strong>Hours:</strong>Summer: 06:30 - 15:30</li><li>Winter: 07:00 - 16:00</li><li><strong>Salary:</strong> £30,000 - £35,000 per year (dependent on experience)</li><li><strong>Benefits:</strong> Ongoing training, hands-on experience, supportive team environment</li></ul><p>Market 36 Recruitment Ltd cover a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Engineering, HR & Finance and IT.
