Housing Allocations Officer

We are looking for an experienced and motivated <strong>Housing Allocations Officer</strong> to join a busy housing team. You will play a key role in delivering the organisation's <strong>housing allocation</strong> scheme, ensuring properties are allocated fairly, efficiently and in line with policy, legislation and service targets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in <strong>housing allocations, lettings or homelessness</strong> services who is passionate about making a real difference to residents.<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Manage the <strong>allocation</strong> of social housing in line with the organisation's <strong>allocation scheme</strong> and relevant legislation</li><li>Process nominations, shortlisting and offers for council and Registered Provider properties</li><li>Coordinate the letting of <strong>temporary accommodation</strong> including PSL, hostels and <strong>PRS placements</strong></li><li>Liaise with Registered Providers, landlords and internal teams to maintain housing supply pipelines</li><li>Assess <strong>housing applications</strong> and ensure accurate banding and priority decisions</li><li>Monitor voids and ensure timely turnaround and re-letting of properties</li><li>Maintain accurate records and produce performance reports and statistics</li><li>Respond to enquiries from applicants, MPs, councillors and other stakeholders</li><li>Support regeneration and decant programmes where required</li></ul>About You<ul><li>Experience working in <strong>housing allocations</strong>, lettings or a similar role</li><li>Strong knowledge of housing legislation, allocation schemes and homelessness duties</li><li>Experience working with Registered Providers and nomination agreements</li><li>Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Strong IT and data management skills</li></ul>If you have the relevent skills then apply!<img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?mvZ2aGq5iQVmICSobaIfETqv17hA6iq9f" width="0" height="0" />
