Health & Safety Advisor

<p>Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a great company based in the Horsham, West Sussex area. This is an office based Health & Safety advisory role, working closely with the H&S Manager, maintaining practical, compliant safe systems, carrying out risk assessments, inspections and investigations etc.</p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> £45K dependent on exp</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Horsham, West Sussex. Due to the rural location, own transport required</p><p><strong>Hours:</strong> 8.30-5.30 Monday to Friday </p><p><strong>Health & Safety Advisor duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain awareness of relevant UK H&S legislation and best practice</li><li>Conduct and develop new risk assessments </li><li>Assist in the development of the risk control systems </li><li>Carry out and review fire risk assessments for simple buildings and events</li><li>Complete and review risk assessments, COSHH assessments</li><li>Deliver and coordinate H&S inductions</li><li>Maintain H&S records and performance data (e.g., inspections, actions, training, incidents)</li><li>Manage the day to day running of the online accident and incident reporting and recording system</li><li>Investigate accidents and incidents and gather information from investigations carried out </li></ul><p><strong>Skills & Experience Required:</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience working in a similar Health & Safety Advisor type role ideally within the Engineering or Manufacturing sector</li><li>Experience conducting risk assessments, COSHH assessments, inspections and incident investigations with clear written reporting.Experience delivering H&S inductions, toolbox talks and practical training to mixed workforces (factory and office)</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?aP%2fblHlMLSta8lJlLsTKiVMvZac8YrWfr" width="0" height="0" />
