Business Analyst - Risk, Controls & Monitoring Platform

<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>A well-established technology organisation operating in highly regulated financial and trading environments is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a specialist risk and controls platform. </p><p>This role sits within a complex, data-driven compliance and monitoring domain, supporting the ongoing development of tools used by institutional clients to manage risk, oversight, and regulatory obligations across transactional activity.</p><p>You will work across business, product, and technology teams, helping to translate complex operational and regulatory requirements into structured, actionable specifications that support ongoing platform development.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Requirements Definition & Analysis</strong></p><ul><li>Work with internal stakeholders and clients to understand operational, product, and regulatory requirements </li><li>Analyse complex end-to-end workflow and control processes within a regulated environment </li><li>Produce structured artefacts including user stories, functional specifications, and process flows (current and future state) </li><li>Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned to defined use cases </li></ul><p><strong>Delivery & Collaboration</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with delivery leads and project managers to support planning and execution of product enhancements </li><li>Act as the key interface between business stakeholders and technical teams </li><li>Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and delivery governance </li><li>Maintain clarity and continuity of requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle </li></ul><p><strong>Platform Development & Enhancement</strong></p><ul><li>Identify gaps and opportunities within existing monitoring and control capabilities </li><li>Support the design and delivery of enhancements driven by regulatory, client, or operational needs </li><li>Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to real-world operational usage </li></ul><p><strong>Testing, Validation & Governance</strong></p><ul><li>Define acceptance criteria and support UAT activities </li><li>Validate delivered functionality against agreed requirements </li><li>Maintain traceability between requirements, controls, and delivered features </li></ul><p><strong>Key Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Essential</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience as a Business Analyst within regulated financial services, trading, or risk/control environments </li><li>Strong understanding of transactional workflows and/or monitoring or surveillance-type processes </li><li>Experience working with complex, multi-step operational processes in regulated industries </li><li>Ability to translate complex domain needs into structured, actionable requirements </li><li>Experience working within structured delivery environments alongside technical teams </li><li>Strong stakeholder engagement skills at senior level </li></ul><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with regulatory or compliance frameworks relevant to financial or trading environments </li><li>Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery models </li><li>Exposure to data-led monitoring, risk, or compliance systems </li><li>Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar </li></ul><p><strong>Package</strong></p><ul><li>Circa £80,000 (depending on experience) </li><li>Competitive benefits package </li><li>Flexible hybrid working model </li><li>Opportunity to work on a specialist risk and controls platform </li><li>Exposure to complex regulated operational environments </li><li>Strong professional development within compliance, risk, and monitoring domains</li></ul><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?RINZcmghf3eFngqf0N8Z9nFPaLt0rOhgx" width="0" height="0" />
