Business Central Developer

<b>Company</b><p>A well-established UK organisation with a significant national presence is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to support ongoing improvements to its financial systems and internal operations. The company has recently completed a major upgrade to Business Central and continues to invest in modernising processes, data flows and technical capability across the business.</p><p>This position offers flexible working, requiring only occasional visits to the head office for key meetings or collaboration sessions.</p><b>Role</b><p>You will be a key technical contributor within the organisation's Business Central environment, enhancing, maintaining and supporting core financial and operational functionality.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Develop, configure and maintain Business Central solutions using AL and associated tools.</li><li>Work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to improve processes and implement system enhancements.</li><li>Support integrations between Business Central and other internal/third-party systems.</li><li>Provide technical guidance to other developers and contribute to upskilling within the team.</li><li>Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across processes, data handling and system usage.</li><li>Assist with estimating, planning and maintaining good development practice and governance.</li></ul><strong>Salary & Working Arrangements</strong><ul><li>Salary up to £65,000, depending on experience.</li><li>Flexible working, with occasional travel to head office as required.</li></ul><b>Person</b><strong>Essential Experience</strong><ul><li>Strong, proven experience as a <strong>Microsoft Business Central Developer</strong>, including hands-on AL development.</li><li>Solid understanding of <strong>financial modules</strong> such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, banking, inventory or fixed assets.</li><li>Experience working closely with finance stakeholders and supporting ERP-driven business processes.</li><li>Ability to coach and mentor other technical team members.</li></ul><strong>Desirable Skills</strong><ul><li>Familiarity with CI/CD, Agile delivery, DevOps practices, or modern development tooling.</li><li>Knowledge of related technologies such as .NET, SQL, PowerApps, Power Automate, or Power BI.</li></ul><strong>Soft Skills</strong><ul><li>Strong communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical colleagues.</li><li>High level of attention to detail and structured problem-solving ability.</li><li>Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?50N8xKcU4F0JRIVviCeb3BJtak%2fWcAOld" width="0" height="0" />
