<p><strong>Your new company</strong>A leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) Engineer to join its specialist building technologies team. This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-profile projects within a supportive, technically strong environment.You'll be part of a national team delivering integrated BEMS and control solutions across a wide range of sectors.<strong>Your new role</strong>As a BEMS Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, delivery and technical oversight of building control systems, working closely with MEP design teams and technology specialists.<strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul><li>Designing and implementing BEMS control strategies aligned with building services systems</li><li>Producing specifications, schematics, drawings and points schedules</li><li>Supporting projects from concept through to commissioning</li><li>Undertaking site surveys, inspections and witnessing commissioning</li><li>Providing expert advice on control philosophies and emerging technologies</li><li>Supporting development of internal technical standards and mentoring junior engineers</li><li>Attending and contributing to client and contractor meetings</li></ul><p><strong>Projects</strong>The role offers exposure to a broad and technically challenging project portfolio, including:</p><ul><li>Aviation and transport infrastructure</li><li>Defence and secure environments</li><li>Education and large public buildings</li><li>Energy and complex engineering facilities</li></ul><p>Projects are typically multi-disciplinary and often delivered as part of wider national and international teams.<strong>What you'll need to succeed</strong></p><ul><li>Background in BEMS design, application and commissioning</li><li>Good understanding of BEMS networks, protocols and supervisory systems</li><li>Hands-on site experience with installation, testing and fault-finding</li><li>Strong communication and client-facing skills</li><li>Degree in Building Services Engineering or similar (preferred)</li><li>Willingness to travel within the UK when required</li></ul><p><strong>What you'll get in return</strong></p><ul><li>Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience</li><li>Annual bonus and excellent benefits</li><li>Flexible / hybrid working</li><li>Ongoing professional development and training</li></ul><p><strong>What you need to do now</strong>If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call Adam Smeddle now.If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.</p><p>Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
